I’m not sure that Portugal ever really had a shot at it, especially not with their best player 35+ next time. I’ve read that Argentina’s youth teams are as weak as they’ve ever been so it’s unlikely Messi gets much help for the next one.
If he gets a shot on goal then he is doing well.
I am torn on the referee today. On one hand he gave us a flowing game, on the other, the one card he gave out was for arguing with one of his non decisions.
It’s a bummer, Portugal played better than it did most of the previous games, but when you can’t crack a solid defense and the other team is very efficient, ah well…

Yeah I havent seen them in a while. But I maybe supporting them (or Genoa) next season. There is a genuine chance Aston Villa may cease to exist as a club this summer. I cant support another English team after supporting the greatest one so it would be Europe bound for me.
Why not both? Dortmund’s season was horrible, with a massive collapse after an incredible start. Admittedly recruitment wasn’t as good as it used to be and the squad has been imbalanced for a while, but it was really the bomb attack that broke the team’s back.
It lead to one of the most promising coaches in the world leaving and completely destroyed the confidence of several players. I look forward to see what Favre does with the team, there is still a lot of quality in the squad and he has been good with young players in past. You will have the additional benefit of watching Jadon Sancho develop into England’s next big thing.
