For some reason, I have never seen anyone complain about kill stealing. Ever. Even a year ago in the beta.
I did see a blue teamkiller yesterday for the first time though! :)
There are times when I really, really want to team kill, though… Some idiots simply deserve it. Like the people who platoon a Loltractor with a Pershing, then drive the T1 tank around annoyingly telling everyone how cute they are. Usually, though, they just get “accidentally” rammed by an IS-4 or something.

Made t-50-2 on the test server. that thing is awesome. FAST! and agile as well. one shot kills it though. It gets the T-34’s gun, the fast firing, well-piercing 57mm. This can be pretty damn deadly if left unchecked because its so precise. loving it!
My question is, why does the T-50 look cooler than the T-50-2?

Apropos of nothing, I started a second account to play from Tier 1 up without using any gold. After a few games: It’s fun to play in the lowest tier again. OTOH the grind is a killer. I’ll be in the Loltracktor for a while. Better learn to enjoy it.

Wait, what? Even without gold, I cannot imagine that you’ll spend more than 15 games in the Loltracktor.
I don’t recall ever noticing the grind until the (tier 4) M3 Lee. And that was all without gold.
Yeah 20 matches at tier 1 tops; I just helped a friend of mine start out; he is using no gold and I am sure it took us less than 20 matches to get out of tier 1.

Well I have the Pz II researched already. But getting the 12,300 to buy it will take a while.

Sorry for multiple posts. But finally got into the Pz II and it’s like a new game. Seriously having fun like when I first got the game. I guess it’s not for everyone, but it sure works for me.
I read somewhere that we’re not supposed to have two accounts, that the TOS prohibit it or something? Seems stupid, but I wonder if they actually care? Because it’s a cool idea.
Back when I started, getting Tier 2 was a lot of fun because you were still in the newbie battles, which meant you were only facing Tier 1 and 2 vehicles. Now, granted, the Bison was really overpowered for that group given how slow tanks of the 30’s were, but otherwise it’s a really well-balanced group. The PanzerJager I is a prime example: powerful gun, good front armor, high accuracy compared to any other Tier 1-2 vehicle, but total toast if flanked.
I’m not sure how the matchmaking works now, but that’s how it was then.

If you don’t tell them I won’t. OTOH I seriously hope they don’t decide to ban me for it. But who’s to say that I don’t have a second computer in my house using the same IP off of the same router MAC?

How would two accounts help? Just a bunch of extra free garage slots?
I don’t remember the matchmaking working like this. IIRC ever since matchmaking was introduced, tier 1 would play with 1 and 2 only and tier 2 would play with 1, 2 and 3. Maybe even an occasional 4 but not sure.
I am so disappointed by the incoming premium Type 59 tank (tier 8 medium). I was so going to get it but the fact that it’s going to require Chinese crew compltely screws up everything.
For those who don’t know, you can put any available crewmember (of the same nationality) into a premium tank and you don’t have to re-train them, they don’t get penalty and they get trained for the tank currently selected for them. For example, you can buy a new VK36001 with a 75% crew, put that crew into Lowe and train them there to 100%. This makes premium tanks a good tool to train your crews while farming credits.
Now since the Type 59 is the only Chinese tank, a huge chunk of premium tank’s benefits is wasted.
Stupid.
Too bad, the Type 59 seems to be an interesting tank to drive - kinda similar to a stock T-54 but tier 8, making about 50K credits a fight on average with premium.
I didn’t know that trick with putting tankers in a premium. Is that documented anywhere? I’ve never heard of it.

Imma try that. Have a hard time believing it tbh. does the class of the tank matter?
<edit>
done some tryin’. Put a wolverine crew in the premium gift sherman. stats are in red, they get a penalty for not driving their own tank. Looks like what you said aint working.
In the A-32 pre-order premium, a T-34 crew indeed doesn’t get penalized. So there’s a tad of inconstency there. Perhaps some people with different premium tanks can chime in?
Why don’t the devs advertize this function on premium tanks? It would sell them to people who wouldn’t buy them otherwise…

It is surprising. I think the majority are russian, I know that the russian/europe servers are more populated than the the US. This would also fit with the PC market being stronger there. I wonder how much of it is national pride, wanting to play game made by russians, for russians? Or if that is even a factor at all?
Just a heads-up:
"World of Tanks is happy to inform tankers that the Operation Avalanche Special will be held within World of Tanks from September 9th till September 12th, 2011!
Starting from 4:30AM PDT (7:30AM EDT), September 9th, and till 4:00AM PDT (7:00AM EDT), September 12th, all our brave tankers will enjoy the following offers:
[ul]
[li]Crew training rates doubled![/li][li]The exprerience for the first victory of the day increases by 5 (!) times![/li][li]50% discount on slots![/li][/ul]
Do not miss this great opportunity to enhance your crew training and stock up with more space for your steel beasts!"
Great news, and thanks for the heads up. I’ll hold off on getting my first win of the new day until tomorrow sometime. It irritates me that the start of these promos doesn’t coincide with the start of the new day on each server.
