If I grind out 90k xp on the KV for the arty line (takes 100k+ for the next tank) and then the tech tree is revised, does that 90k stay on the KV, eliting it, but not being able to be used on the arty line since that’s now attached to the KV-2?

I’d say so, because when they changed the german medium line, I ended up with an automatically elited Pz38Na because I had already unlocked the Pz IV (it used to lead to the Pz III/Iv before I think). it had 5k XP extra stuck on it (used gold to get it off)

Did anyone who got the IGN special offer keep the M3 Lead-Lease? You are stuck with a tier 2 gun, and it is pretty underwhelming.

I kept mine. With 100% crew it isn’t too bad, just not as good as a non-premium M3, which is probably as it should be. I like the novelty of driving an M3 with little red stars on it.

Random scrub battles are getting worse in this game. It’s like being on a team of drunk drivers with no thought to thinking logically or even wanting to win a battle. I’ve had increasing incidences of idiots on my own team following my tank around and purposely rear ending me.

I used to see this behavior a lot in the lower tiers but it seems to be infecting the high tiers now as well. Had some idiot in a medium purposely blocking my E-100 so I threatened to shoot him if he didn’t stop griefing. He didn’t so I one shot him. Sigh.

Perhaps part of this is a form of MMO end game boredom. In WoT, if you’re not in an active clan doing clan battles, after you’ve leveled up your tanks, there’s little to do except wait for the next patch and whatever new stuff it’ll introduce. I suspect a lot of people aren’t finding the battles compelling enough without the carrot of new tanks to go for.

Or maybe people are just devolving…

While I have spent more money than I should, according to the wife, I’m nowhere near the point of boredom. In fact I’ll be getting the boxed version tomorrow, if the tracking info is to be trusted.

OTOH, I find myself getting tired of the idiocy of PUGs earlier and earlier these days.

I agree with those that think that the random battles are getting worse. I’m at 48/50 or something forever it seems. Yeah, I know that the win/loss stats aren’t a good gauge of skill. But lately it seems like any time I try to give advice all I get are morons that throw back shit instead of some kind of tactical thought.

Earlier this evening, I was in a PZIV on a hill overlooking a group of med and heavies. Two were killed. I could see the enemy advancing. I said, Right flank. Fall back to defensive positions.

They ignored it and were wiped. I was able to kill two tanks and damage three more.

But the game was 8>2 by then and a lost cause.

I forget the map, but if the survivors just pulled back a bit the arty could have plastered the push. I’m wondering how much longer I’ll be interested in the game. I guess I’ll get the box, use the code, and when the gold runs out maybe I’ll take a long break.
