They pulled the deal, apparently, because people were buying it in bulk for cheaper gold+premium. Signing up for like five impulse accounts, buying it on each, and entering the promo code in WoT for lots of cheap gold, premium and slots. I didn’t get in on it in time.
It’s strange that WoT can’t limit the amount of times you can enter promo code per account.
I loved the SU line right up until I finally got the ISU-152. Against other tanks of its tier, it feels like it has papier mache armour. 35 matches, 7 wins. Once I’m spotted, I die.
There is no desire in me to continue up to the Object.
Huh, I loved the SU-152 and upgraded to the ISU-152 even before unlocking the 122mm gun downgrades. I love how much sturdier the ISU is.
Well, the very reason to progress to the Object 704 is that you suddenly, for the first time ever in the Russian TD line, get real, effective armor.
Survival in the ISU-152 is all about exploiting the stealth/detection system though.
Back in the T-46 to go up the new light tree. Didn’t think I’d ever play that tank again.
Amusingly enough, the T46 has my best w/l record. I’m guilty in many tanks of just playing for the double bonus. The T46 is mediocre, but I liked it, so I would play with far more care and attention. Now sold/ crew switched to a T50, but I kept my T46 even after grinding up to a KV.
It’s about as fast as a T34. The 57mm is an OK gun for its tier, with the 37mm autocannon being a great anti-scout tool.
I’ve also kept the T82, even after unlocking M10, and again have better w/l record than my average due to just playing better with it.
I love my Object 704; it’s entirely worth the grind. Hell, once you get the BL-10 on the ISU-152, you’re golden. Yeah, it has paper armor but with a good crew, cammo, and a rammer, plus some discretion, you actually have a way to affect high tier matches. IS-4s will back away from the BL-10. It’s more fun with the Object because you can actually survive encounters sometimes.
Before you get the BL-10, the second 122, which fires really fast and hits pretty hard, is a nice ISU gun. But the BL-10 is the goal.
I am having the worst possible luck in my Tiger for some reason, the w/l ratio is about 40% and that’s an improvement comparing to what it’s been a few days ago.
The funny thing is it’s a great tank, I really like it. IMO it feels slow-ish only if it’s your first heavy and you got used to all the mediums you’ve driven to get to it. After KV, KV-3 and IS-4, driving the Tiger does not feel slow at all. I am not talking about stock of course. :)
It seems I can’t find my role in the Tiger. In high tier fights I don’t really matter that much, I do my part but these fights are usually won or lost by the top tanks, so oh well.
In low tier fights though, I’ve had many cases where I’d kill 3-5 enemies, get like 800+ exp and my team would still lose on another flank, I don’t have enough time to return and we’d lose the match. Maybe I should play more defensively in the Tiger.
Can’t wait to get the 50K exp required for the KT.

From the tanks on special I have a Pz IV, KV and KV-3 in the garage, all with 90%+ or gold crews. Pz IV and KV are fully unlocked, KV-3 has one more gun (the really big one). Plus I really enjoy all those tanks! Fun is me :-)
The T-28 is great fun as well, will consider buying one for the weekend. I’ve unlocked a VK 3001 § and a lot of modules, so could consider getting that as well. I’d be surprised if it is as damn good as the VK 3601 (H) though.
My VK 3601(H) is at the business / grinding end now, needs very large amount of XP for next tank. Torn between going straight into a Tiger OR going into the VK 3002 (DB) and then using that to sideways unlock both Panther and Tiger.
I am really attracted to the Tiger for irrational “it looks cool” reasons, but the VK 3002 (DB) seems a very capable beast - more like a super VK 3601 (H).

It is. It used to be baby panther. The gun selection for it is nothing to write home about but its fast, sturdy and well plated. I’m looking forward to unlocking it in due time. I really enjoy my vk3601, both for its gameplay and the cash monies it generates. So i dont mind grinding on it some more.
Well, the Tiger tops out at around 30kph or so, and maybe it’s because in release I didn’t do the KV line (did that in beta), the Tiger sure as hell feels slow, even fully upgraded. I’ve pretty much unlocked the KT but don’t have the money for it (or the Panther II or T28 TD I’ve unlocked, either).
I agree that it’s hard to find a role for the Tiger sometimes. It’s “ok” all-around but not stellar in any particular area.

The top speed is low on the Tiger, but it actually has great acceleration.
Overall, I’d say its merely an average tank. In battles where you can sit back and support with the Long 88, it feels great, but once you’re engaged in ‘close’ (sub 300m) combat, its only strength is its high HP pool.
Getting through the Tiger grind isn’t super fun, but the good news is that the KT, E75, and E100 are all great performers for their tier.
I’ve commented on this before, but yeah, it’s very annoying that they don’t synch them up.
Yeah, that is probably the best bet. I tend to play aggressive and the Tiger was nothing but fustration for me. Decent acceleration runied by the low top speed, good accuracy and pen on the long 88 but camo values too low to really use as a sniper. In the end you’re looking at a tier 7 heavy with squishy armor and low alpha damage with a very long grind to the long 88 that makes it at all playable. My stats on the IS are so much better than what I managed on the Tiger it’s not even funny.

Tigers are pretty squishy. I love getting to shoot them in all of my tanks. They do have bite though. I do not expect it to have a win ratio anywhere near my IS’ but i do like the long 88 on the jagdpanther, so i reckon i’ll love it on the tiger as well.
I’ve been playing 88 and 90mm armed tanks a lot the last few weeks, grinding out the creds to get the IS-3. Now that i have it, that 122 feels massive. fun times.
The basic 122s are good. The BL-9S, though…sweetness…
I’ve taken the Russian heavy line up to the IS-7 and the German up to the KT, so I have good grounds for comparing their respective heavies. The Tiger is, by far, the worst of the bunch when measured against its peers. While its armor seems decent on paper, it has no slope at all and gets punched through routinely. The low top speed is another drawback, and none of its guns do much damage, though the top one is accurate and has decent penetration.
Combine all these factors, and you really need to play the Tiger like a turreted TD. Try to hit enemies from long range with your accurate gun while hoping they miss, because if they hit, you’re in trouble. Brawling is right out–you’ll bounce nothing, and you’re neither fast nor maneuverable.
Pity that it’s so terrible, given that the Tiger is perhaps the most iconic of all the German tanks…

13,000 xp to my KT. I can’t fucking wait. I paid my damn dues.
The Tiger should arguably be a tier down, with fewer HP and a side option to the 3601. It’s a big target, it doesn’t have much armor (after sloping), and while its gun is good, its mobility is bad. The HP boost the tank got in late beta helped, as did the damage boost the 88 got, but the tank is still very vulnerable to most tier 6+ mediums and all tier 5+ heavies, unlike the IS and T29.
