It’s the T34 that’s going premium, the one after the T32, I think. So you need the Tier IX T34 to take advantage of the split, as I understand it.

I am surprised noone mentioned the Toolbox. Yes, it costs 500,000 IIRC but it will help you to fix anything that’s broken. I always carry it on my tanks that don’t have 100% repair skill yet.

Funny how so many of us got the KT lately. I also bought it a few days ago and it’s simply AWESOME. I really enjoy driving it and the kind of impact it can make in any fight.

Its not particular to the King Tiger. Tier 8 heavy tank gets to be top dog a lot and even if it isnt is powerful enough to be a substantial factor in the team. Winning a game driving one of those has less to do with luck than it does when you are driving a tier 5 medium tank.

I cant play the game at all because my computer seems to be failing. It reboots spontaneously (cold reboot too!) when playing WoT. Often just when i’m about to make that round winning shot. I think my power supply thingamibob is failing or too small. sucks. I wanna play tanks, not watch my ailing box reboot itself again.

Check your processor’s heatsink for dust.

Everytime my machine starts doing that, its because the heat sink is full of dust and crap and isn’t cooling things properly.

I was having the same problem and for me it was my video card overheating and rebooting at about 70C. Got a replacement and it runs fine now.

None of the KV-3 guns really seem worth the experience points over the T7 KV gun. That kinda sucks. Am I wrong?

As with most tanks, it’s worth getting it to the top gun. It’s very slow but extremely hard hitting.

Very wrong. Though its shells cost a lot of silver the 122mm is godly. Slow RoF, but for its tier it is one mighty mighty punch. For winning matches and feeling like an angry armoured god, KV-3-122 accepts no substitutes.

If you want to grind out credits, the 100mm is your ticket. The shots are cheap and accurate, with good penetration and fair damage. DPS might be better than that of the 122, but alpha is lower, hence less of the godlike smiting.

I agree. The 122 mm is kind of like a better version of the KV’s derp gun - you have a good chance to one shot anything that’s lower level than you. It’s pretty much the gun IS-3 is using through most of its life and having a tier 8 tank’s gun on a tier 6 tank is devastating.

I forgot to comment on this one.

It’s arguable whether KT has the best gun of its tier. IS-3’s gun is better when fighting up close and, of course, tier 8 TDs have MUCH better guns.

KT’s gun is plenty good though, especially when using it at medium or long distances. I would even argue that KT’s top gun isn’t really worth it - for 46K exp, it gains 25 mm penetration and a tiny bit of accuracy but loses some reload speed. And it’s a side upgrade in the tree. It’s also a side upgrade for E-75, which has a much better gun available at 63K exp.

I have no issues penetrating most of the enemies with my current short 105 mm, so I won’t be getting the long one for 46K.

BTW, I haven’t played that much since Tuesday but so far I had no complaints about the updated matchmaker. I haven’t seen 5-6 arties on each side yet, same for the weird unexplainable imbalances that were rare but still occured with the old matchmaker. And it doesn’t really take much longer to get into a fight. IMO it’s an improvement.

Yeah, I would have to say the matchmaker is an improvement, much tighter groupings now.

Subjectively I seem to be getting less times at the top of the match, but is often pretty moot when the top is only one tier above you.

Matches definitely take much longer to create though. 60s + is not uncommon. This is probably because I play in off peak times. (lots of Aussies, new Zealanders and Vietnamese. Some Thai too I think)

I’d agree the improved match maker seems better; not perfect but better overall.

I haven’t been in my KT very long. I had pretty much everything upgraded when I got it, but I did go ahead and get the long 10.5cm mostly because I like the looks–the first one is ugly. But numerically, yeah, it’s not that big an upgrade probably. I actually find the fully upgraded KT more enjoyable than my fully upgraded IS-3, though I can’t say why really. Both are solid tanks.

I also got my T34, which everyone said was horrible. So far, I actually like it. I was pretty good with the T32, and this plays pretty similarly, even though I don’t have the top gun. Mainly I got it so I’d have it when they tweak the US line in a few weeks, though.

Double experience for crew training I guess means crew earns experience twice as quick.

Bit of a bummer, I was hoping for some cheap tanks!

I’d be curious to know how they decided which server got what, but I am perfectly happy with US special. The T25-AT with double credits should make me rich beyond my wildest dreams.

I’ve ground my way through the KT and strongly disagree. The top KT gun makes a big difference in punching through those IS-4s and E-75s you face in a on a regular basis. I never really felt the KT came into its own until I got it, my damage per match went way up too.

Top KT gun makes the tank. Its viable before that, but a beast with it.
