Just saw this loading screen tip:
‘The status of the elite vehicle does not depend on crew’
??

That depends. How do you feel about one-shotting everyone and everything?
Heavens, yes. It turns the SU-85 from ‘middleweight boxer’ to ‘Finger of God’.

Wow, that’s some terrible translation work.
In case you (or anyone else) is curious, the tool tip is attempting to teach the difference between a fully researched tank and a 100% trained crew. The game refers to fully researched tanks as being “elite” but in most game lingoes “elite” status would be based on the actual performance of the tank, as measured by the skill of the crew.
I suspect that it causes a lot of confusion for new players. “If my tank is now ‘elite’ why does it suck so much?”
It’s obvious in the game when a tank is ‘elite’ (all researchable stuff researched), just seemed like it was hinting crew % didn’t matter after that

Yeah, I was just on the WOT forums and it seems like i asked a stupid question. One guy says it makes the SU-85 play like a fully upgraded Marder in equal games. And I love my Marder.
The BL-10 on the 152 is known as the “Middle Finger of God”.
- Take KV-2’s best gun.
- Put it on a platform that can actually move.
- Win.
Hope you enjoy rolling in cash.

Played for a bit tonite, all victories. Great Fun.
I was contemplating skipping it, but I’m glad I didn’t. That tank is a monster now.

actually, for cash the su-100 is better, especially if you do not put the 122mm on it, but the 100mm. You can get plenty penetrating shots with that, it fires fast and spots much further than the -85. You also get matched with bigger tanks which is good for the wallet but bad for the ego. you shure get stomped on a lot.
the su-85-107 is one mothersmiting bastard tank of doom. Both flat sues have a permanent place in my garage for fun and profit. I do very well with them despite an agressive playing style. The good camo values on these beasties allows you to shoot and scoot pretty well and they are mobile enough to haul ass when the excrement makes contact with the air conditioning.
Im away from my tanks for a week, and it’s hell just being able to read and write about them. Am i an addict? should i enroll in the 12 step tankaholics anonymous programe?
Whoa! The goal posts keep on shifting for me in this game- ‘I’ll just get a tier 7 heavy… or maybe all the soviet tier 8s… screw it, I’ll get every soviet tank!’
but I’m doubting it will take that many matches. You must have on hell of a garage.
I think I only have 33 vehicles in my garage–I didn’t keep all of them once they were Elite. I started with the German tree and later began the U.S. and U.S.S.R. trees.
The reason I got into so many battles was by doing the dailies with every tank in my garage every day. Not doing the dailies yesterday and today has been quite a relief; I even have time to play some of the games in my backlog now.
I got my IS-4 tonight. It’s a beast, and I love how much it bounces, but I’m 0-6 with it. I’m playing great though, average 2 kills per round, lots of damage besides. I just keep getting awful teams tonight. :(
Man my IS-4 was swiss cheese before I got the turret upgrade- even T7s were having a field day shooting me in the gun and laughing as I died in a fire. Much tougher with that new turret.
The IS-4 comes into its own with the upgraded gun. I’m loving it now.
IS-4 is a much better tank than the IS-7. It’s all a bit silly. :)

Really looking forward to getting the IS-4. I just made it to the BL-9 gun on my IS-3. Goodness.
It’s funny how my silver balance is terribly lagging to my xp progress. I am almost done with unlocking the pershing and have unlocked the ISU-152 but I have no cash to buy these machines. Gonna take a lot of matches in the tier sixes to get all that cash scraped together. And by that time i’ll be ready to get the IS-4 i bet.
Having fun with the tiger as well now that I got the long 88 on it. That is one fine piece of machinery. Too bad its armor is insufficient for tier 7. I think the tiger would do great at tier 6.
The answer to credit issues is the Type 59 or the Lowe. I bought the former, finally, after being perpetually poor. Since I got it a month or so ago, I’ve been able to generate enough income to at least make things a lot less frustrating, even though I don’t play nearly as much as many of the other folks in my clan. Even in a terrible battle where you get killed nearly immediately, the Type 59 makes money, and if you have a good game on a win, it can make a cubic buttload of money.
Is it me or is the E-75 vastly superior to any other T9 tank?
