Yeah, I was counting on softwipe to finally get me the IS or IS-3.
I had been worrying some about money as I’m close to both US and USSR tier 7 heavies with only about 2 mil in the bank, and didn’t want to sell any tanks for fear of ‘losing’ money for the soft wipe calculation. I guess I won’t worry about that now.
Side note: Love the 122m on the KV. When you punch a tiger 2 in the face for 20-25% health from two tiers below, they tend to be a little shocked.
Guess ill play again in a month then!

Lol wait until you get the 152, you will KO the fucker in one punch! big fun that!
Is the 152 the IS-4/IS-7 gun?
The only 152 I know of is the SU-152 or ISU-152.
The KV with the big boxy turret (KV-2) gets the 152mm short-barrel HE monster. It’s…a hoot, as noted above. Things just…go away when you hit them. Of course, it fires like twice a week, but still.
Yeah, I’ve used the derpcannon, but it’s nice to have a gun that can pen heavies.
How does the softwipe calculation work?

it doesnt. but when it does, you get the cash and xp value of all your stuff plus maybe a little extra to compensate for crews and such. after a softwipe you have no tanks but a whole shitload of cash and xp to play with. but like the man said, softwipes’ been cancelled.
derpcannon is fun innit? also makes for a very fun playstyle. creep up on something, and when it looks the other way… THUMP! and then you get back into hiding until your loader has finished unpacking and loading a new shell. theres nothing really like it, though other vehicles do get derp guns, nothing as devastating as the KV’s. its the only way to roll in a KV.
I like rolling with the derpy 105 in hetzers and stugs, too. You’ll take 8-10% off a tier 8 heavy with a decent shot, which is enough to feel like you’re actually accomplishing something. Plus side armor on anything tier 5 and down is gonna get wrecked.
…and the StuG is pretty speedy, and fun to play as well!

Stug is awesome. Looks cool, hides well and has the long 70 to fuck shit up from a distance. I love my little stug. not as much as the kv-derp but it comes close.
Since I currently read the forums far more frequently than I play, here’s another interesting tidbit from Overlord:

Heh i hereby name my stug ren and my kv stimpy :P
Wow, the VK4502P is terrible.
It can do some damage but it’s agonizingly slow. It can hardly turn which makes navigating tight spaces almost impossible. It can take a few hits but you need that when your sprinting away from enemy fire at 12kph. The rear mounted turret makes things even worse as everyone else has noted. You can scoot, fire, and retreat. Instead you scoot, get tracked, and die without ever actually seeing the target.
It’s also a massive money sink. Repairs are expensive, the ammunition is pricey, and it’s not all that combat effective. You need a secondary tank for credit farming just to stay in business.
If your playing a King Tiger right now, keep it. Accrue that xp and convert it into a Soviet or American heavy after the wipe.
Yeah, I’ve said it before, but the VK4502P vs IS-4 matchup is the biggest mismatch in the entire game. The rear turret on it and the Maus are just awful in an arty-dominated combat environment that rewards peeking out from cover to take a quick shot. If you come out butt first so that you can fire quickly, you expose the weakest part of your tank, so that’s no solution. The IS-4 can literally run circles around either of them, has fantastic armor, and hits like a truck. I maxed my King Tiger out and then I switched to Soviet heavies for all these reasons.
About that …

The IS-4 and VK45 stats are virtually identical …
I’m not surprised, however, to see TDs do so much better than tanks in nearly every tier. Warp fix in action.

i think that has much to do with tactics or lack thereof. The sneaker (VK) being so horribad and slow makes for a more structured and defensive game if it has to play centerpiece. The IS4 however, being nimble and hard as hell probably loses lots of games due to stupid rushing and not getting supported or running out on its support.
The Win/Loss numbers for the Maus are pretty poor.
