If I’m reading the patch notes correctly you should be getting more module damage – no idea why they’d want to do that, but that is the way the notes read to me:
They also reduced the chance of getting module damage from HE rounds tho.

I love how their patcher ALWAYS fails to work correctly.
Its a marvel in how terrible it is.

Edit2: That they even have a screen that says something as stupid as “The data obtained from the update service is incorrect.” is mind blowing. They expected it to happen so often they made a splash screen for it? A splashscreen that specifically cites that the update service fucked the dog and thats why it isn’t working? Most things would be more along the lines of “Error: File mismatch” or something generic. Not here, they go out of their way to showcase their failures.
Edit3: Can’t find a damned torrent of it either. Since most signs hint to having to do a complete reinstall, which is a 6 hour download using their terrible server.
Edit4: Found the torrent! Only 2.5 hours to download it! Wait, that sucks.
On the one hand, my launcher patched fine and fast. On the other hand, getting schooled by Panther IIs and T-54s already is icky :P

I patched with no problems at all yesterday. Wonder why it’s such a problem for some and so easy for others?
Who knows? Windows versions, video cards, sound cards, you name it. Someone is always bound to have the perfect PC configuration to break an installer.

It just decided to work this time.

Still no feedback for 4 minutes before doing anything seems a bit much, even if it did work this time.
For the record I’ve never not had issues with updating this thing. The launcher fails to update itself pretty much everytime and if theres a patch that will also fail to install. Usually I can just download the patch from their site and it’ll be fine, but this time was a complete clusterfuck for some reason. I still hate their updater since it tends to take forever and then not work anyway.

This game has become a lot better with company deployment.
Oh my, the changes to artillery are very significant in practice.
It is a lot harder to track moving targets now, or to quickly move the reticule to a different location. If you move the gun vertically, it stays pretty much zeroed in. But if you move even slightly horizontally, accuracy goes to hell, and you need to zero in all over again.
This is based on my S-51 thus far, and I don’t even know how it is on a Hummel now (sold mine some time ago). It’s much more difficult to place a shot on a non-stationary target or to quickly take advantage of targets of opportunity.
In other news …
The HP boost to medium tanks is great. My T-44 went from 1000 to 1300HP and it makes a big difference in survivability. Its gun is still so wimpy though.
The side effect of this is that I can no longer reliably one-shot kill tier 6 mediums in my ISU-152. Oh well, it wasn’t exactly fair before.
Yet to meet an Object 704 or Pershing in game yet, but I have seen a few T-54s and Panther IIs.
They don’t seem to be anything special. Lots of HP to work through, but their armor doesn’t appear to be all it’s cracked up to be. There was a friendly T-54 right near me that got focus fired by an IS-3, Panther and 107mm KV (of all things) that strangely decided to ignore me. It blew up pretty fast without doing much in return. It may be tier 9, but it’s no IS-4.

Yeah, I couldn’t find any info on the beta forums, so I figured he was blowing smoke. But who knows? These devs could do all sorts of weird stuff!
A hard wipe? That would seriously suck…
But I seriously doubt that’s true. Let’s hand out 500g a day to everyone for Christmas. Now let’s wipe it. Wait that -does- sound like something they would do.

What’s the best way to spend an overabundance of gold? Premium account, maxed crew, premium ammo, and then consumables?
Always have premium activated. I save any extra gold for exp conversion to free exp or credits, as I often got the exp for a high tier tank whilst being way off on creds.
