I’m excited, have the CE on order, and I’m not even sure I’m going to plunge back in… I’d like to, but, I dunno. My highest character is a 73 Lock but I’ve got a 62 Rogue too. Started on release night with that Rogue, got all the way through all but the Eye of C’Thun in AQ40 and was start in on Naxx when BC came out, BC I got max level on my Lock, did tons of dungeons (no raids, though), then Lich King I couldn’t even be arsed with that. Yet I’m still excited and feel almost compelled to buy the expansions. I just wish they didn’t destroy parts of the old world with this one.

I’m upset that the old-world class specific quests have been removed - there weren’t enough of them anyway and now they’ve removed the ones that did exist :(

The level 20 Paladin quest to forge Verigan’s Fist was quite the epic journey and now I can’t do the level 50 version.

And yeah, I’m over the current stage of the invasion.

It’s becoming a regular zone. Zul Gurub was fun to raid in though at the time. :(

Oh, ok, that’s not too bad. It was a fun raid and had cool bosses but most of all I didn’t want to toss the really cool feel of the place.

I got the achievement for killing Hakkar, but there’s no way I was going to keep doing it over and over to get the mount ;).

ZG was a great instance. Lots of love for that place. Definitely my favorite vanilla raid*

It’s not like people won’t be in Dalaran or Shatt - they’re slated to become the hubs for people levelling through 60-80. So I’d expect some population, if not as crowded as Dalaran is at the moment.

Yeah, I have one of the dalaran rings, so if they don’t add another ink trader, it won’t be too hard to get there for me.

The (new and improved/blown up) Stormwind and Orgrimmar are much cooler places to hang out though, if only because they’re changed a lot. At least in beta, Dalaran and Shattrath felt quite boring by comparison, when you could be hanging out in those highly revamped cities.

It is rather nice to have trainers and Auction House access in those places, though; it will be helpful for characters who do visit the cities for leveling purposes.

I’m glad I blew all that gold on my Kirin Tor ring, then. I can hearth somewhere close to where I’m questing and still pop back to Dalaran for the AH and trainers and merchants.

Just capped off the last of the old world with a Stormwind Pool Party in the Park.

I fully expect to wake up in a graveyard.

Why is everyone abandoning Dalaran? Is there a new city everyone is moving to? Also I tried to run my Launcher during this downtime and am getting “Launcher cannot obtain patching information. Please check your internet configuration”.

Dalaran no longer has portals, which is why everyone’s leaving it (presumably they want to explore the sundered world).

Can’t patch when even the patch servers are down.

Run around the old world until December 7th hoping Deathwing spits fire on us? :p
