There’s a 30Mb patch rait nao.

Yep, I got the new log-in screen and the video.

It also seems there’s no actual animation, so no dragon roar. The dragon just stays there like dumbfounded.

What has happened to Strat? I like to run it with my rogue or warlock now and then to see if the Baron will drop the horse.

The pull to re-up is almost irresistible at this point.

It’s still there, Strath and Scholo I think may have had their levels adjusted down, since the zones they’re in now are lower level. I don’t think they made many other changes to them, although they have changed a few aspects about other old world dungeons.

At least for me, I took all my characters out of Dalaran last night because I didn’t want to schlep each one to Borean Tundra/Howling Fjord and wait on the zeppelin. I’m not raiding, and I’m not questing any more in Northrend so there’s really no reason for me to stay.

Something funny…as I was logging on my first character to head to Org/UC, I kept feeling like I had to pack or do something to get ready before leaving Dalaran…like pull my stuff out of the bank or the mailbox.

And I guess I’ll have to wait to check out the new Org, but I still wish UC was the main hub for Horde stuff. It’s so much better organized and easy to get around.

To my knowledge only ZG is the only instance changed/removed from the old world. Rest is left alone.

There have been a lot of changes to dungeons; Maraudon has been split into 3 legitimate dungeons, and Uldaman has been split into two. There have been sections removed from Sunken Temple and Blackfathom Deeps, and BRD has had Ulduar-style teleporters added to it. Deadmines and SFK have different bosses, and heroic versions once you get to 85. All of the dungeons have been level adjusted to be more appropriate to the zones they’re in as well.

Yeah. I completely forgot to do this. Oh well, the journey will be a little more cinematic when I don’t just log in to a changed world.

If I load up a level one 'toon with Heirlooms and do a server, faction, and race change, do my Heirloom items transfer? What about gold? (I suppose I could just buy gold…)

I parked my chars by where the new innkeepers will be in Stormwind, since they’re adding 2 additional inns for Cataclysm.

Tobold linked to a super cheap European WoW sale: 5 euros for the base game, 5 for BC, 10 for WotLK. Unfortunately, I can’t find a US equivalent. Hopefully they will roll one out for people who want to join up.

Aaron asked about Heirlooms on like that last page. ;) Yes, they should transfer. For gold, there is a cap on how much you can transfer based on your level. I imagine a level 1 character can’t haul that much. Presumably an anti-gold-seller measure.

Did he? I suck. Thanks for the help.

Those Troll druid forms…I…I don’t think I can pass those up.

I’m just hoping that this doesn’t mess up the Pilgrim quest.

I have literally one more rogue to shoot (a human rogue, and I’m Alliance, so it shouldn’t be that hard) in order to complete all of the Pilgrim quests and get my turkey.

If Cataclysm borks that, I’ll admit that I am going to be annoyed.

Character Restrictions:
Every character to be transferred has to be at least level 10.
Characters carrying too much gold are not eligible for transfer, as follows:
Level 10-30: 300 gold limit
Level 31-50: 1000 gold limit
Level 51-69: 5000 gold limit
Level 70-80: 20000 gold limit
An individual character may only be transferred once every 3 days.

Man, I logged on last night without a clue, and of course within 10 seconds I hear that familiar ‘BUCCKKKKAWW’ and I’m staring at this turkey in front of the mail box.

Fucking rogue season…

Same here. I made sure to get turkey shots off on all my Horde Rogues while still in Dalaran.

I’m sure it will continue. Which will be funny. “The world has ended! Lets all have some pumpkin pie.”

If you don’t have one by this weekend, I have a human rogue on Moonrunner you can shoot.

Dwarf shaman, here I come (since shamans are one of two classes I’ve never gotten to level 80 with). That will keep me going until December 7.

I was trying to think of a funny pun involving alcohol as a name for a shaman, since dwarves drink plenty of spirits (har har)…

But, I’ve come up blank (or at least not with anything I like). Any suggestions? I may just go with a dwarf warlock instead.
