Great reference, well played ma’am!
I did as well, but Vol’jin’s final conversation with Thrall didn’t activate. Thrall’s image was standing there over the fire pit, and Vol’jin said I could listen in if I liked, but nothing ever happened. :(
Didn’t happen for me either, on two different servers. (Moon Guard server has a queue, so I bailed at level eight or so and started over on a different one.) I waited for several minutes to see that last conversation, but it never happened. The first one was so great!

In somewhat related news, the woman who claims to love me spent most of Sunday mocking me for talking in Troll accent. Rude.

Yeah, exact same thing happened to me. Also I was stuck in combat and had to hard log my client to be able to equip/unequip items. Something weird is going on with the scripting in that zone.

All my pets tend to be named for fictional versions, I am going to name my Fox “Tod.” :)
I don’t follow this. How would I get from Darnassus to Stormwind using the Blasted Lands portal? Assuming I’m low enough level for Thousand Needles? I have a human rogue who just hit 40, and I’ve never played alliance before, so the transportation confuses me.

Take the Blasted Lands portal, run to Nethergard Keep and then fly to Stormwind. It’s a pretty short ride.

If you’re low level it might not be such a good idea – in this case I would just take the boat instead.
But yeah, you can quickly ride to Nethergarde and then Stormwind is right there. :)

So I have about 1400g in the bank, and Master Flying now costs 4000g with factions I have exalted rep with (thank goodness I didn’t try to buy it before 4.03a … not that I could have afforded it). I’d like to have it for leveling in the new 80-85 zones.
Do you guys think it is even possible to earn 3600+ gold in only the 7 days or so I have until Cataclysm arrives? I’ve been doing Northrend quests in Icecrown and will be able to move to the Storm Peaks once I’m done there. But quests only pay out 15-20g a pop, which means I’d have to do over two hundred of them. I dunno if I’m that fast.
Are there more efficient ways to earn gold?

Master flying really isn’t worth it, it bring your flyer from 280 to 310…
not mentioning you can’t use a flyer in the one of the first new cataclysm 80-82 zones since it’s underwater.
You could buy it for about ten bucks.

Go pick Outlands and Old World herbs. In the 2 weeks between 4.03a and Cat, the ink trader is only interested in inks that dont exist yet. Demand for older herbs by scribes has skyrocketed, and glyph prices are accordingly inflated.

Play the AH, if you’re willing to log in about once an hour (to cancel and resubmit underbid auctions). Needed: Auctioneer, APM and a basic understanding of how an auction is managed. If you play the disenchant and glyph markets, you’ll eventually gain enough momentum to make what you need in a few days. The glypher I started on Arathor has a /played time of 13 hours and is already making about 400g a day by just logging in.
Otherwise, shooting for Loremaster of Northrend will get you around 4kg.

Master Flying is totally worth it, especially if you’re a Paladin. It’s not worth purchasing gold to buy it though.
It’s also worthwhile in some areas of Vash’jir to go up to the surface and then fly to where you need to go.

As I have 450 in both Herbalism and Inscription, this seems like a good plan.
I imagine Prime glyphs give you the best bang for buck?

Actually, since the patch, folks can learn all the glyphs for their class, so everything has suddenly becomes a decent seller. Sure, there are specific glyphs more popular for specific builds, but dealing with the overwhelming number of completionists out there, you’re going to sell whatever you build.
In general, I just use APM and give myself a soft threshold for what I’m willing to write up. Right now, I’m not making anything that sells for less than 50g a pop.
I did the plants vs. zombies quests/minigame for the pet the other night. It was rough. I’m on a pvp server and haven’t played my paladin in months. I was never good at pvp to begin with and there were 3 horde guys camping the quest giver. It became a race to see how quickly i could click the accept quest button.
