I haven’t seen anything like that, but I also don’t tend to hang around places like the Wow General forums.

I know you’re still pretty new here, so just take this advice: Wow threads around here do not tend to take those sorts of hyperbolic turns. If you say something ridiculous, (like saying Blizzard loves Horde, or that Wow is like Myspace,) someone around here will likely shut you down with common sense.

Blizzard loves Paladins. There I said it!

WoW is like MySpace?

I have found that WoW makes a great deal more sense if you simply assume that Mike Morhaime and Chris Metzen both have family members who play druids and paladins. Every buff either class receives is a birthday or Christmas present.

Whenever WoW starts wrapping up and a transition period starts, I look forward to a three-week window in which Hammer of Justice simply kills other players instantly and resto druids can actually heal people to death.

That makes a lot of sense, Axe. After watching Metzen in 2 Blizzcons now, I’m nearly convinced that the world revolves around him and his carefully manicured facial hair.

I’m aware this forum doesn’t (usually) say dumb stuff like that.

I’m also aware you’re the self-designated forum cop for every WoW thread and tend to overreact to the smallest bit of silliness, so I’ll be sure to take your barely-veiled elitist “advice” with a grain of (rock) salt.

What’s funny is that this feels like only a slight exaggeration. Starfall is practically a wallhack and I watched my friend get 2-shot by a Holy Paladin using Exorcism in level 19 (non level-locked) WSG. He’s a Mage and his spells hit for double digits and crit for barely 3, while Exorcism was landing for 150~200 and critting for ~300. Both in full Heirloom. It was pretty hilarious (on my end).

And before I get my throat torn out, I am aware 19 WSG means exactly nothing, that Exorcism is not a valid DPS spell outside of the various free procs you can get for it due to its prohibitive mana cost, that Mages rawk, that he should have XYZ’d and it was his fault, that the classes are balanced for level cap, that the statement was silly exaggeration I was playing along with, etc.

Elitist? Are you confusing me with someone else on these boards? You seem to assume an awful lot for someone who’s only been a member for a few months. I haven’t been anything remotely resembling an Elite Wow player in over a year, when I was a hardcore raider.

The most I do now is talk about how cool my seagull is. And it is awesome. He disarms people, even bosses!

I meant in terms of the forum account creation/post count stuff, not your WoW playstyle. I didn’t join this place out of the blue; I lurked here for a long time before pulling the trigger.

It’s great that Westfall got an overhaul. It needed it. Doing the farm circuit was never fun. I won’t be making an Alliance character to try it, but I’ll take your word for its newfound quality.

Anyone who doesn’t make a character of the opposite faction from what they normally play to check out the new zones is missing out on half of the game, which is a pity.

Like I said before, no one side has a monopoly on cool stuff in Wow.

Someone just called Athryn elitist in the same thread I’m posting in?

I feel all sadfaced now. Where’s my elitist cred?

It’s in Drop Bears guild chat now, you MAGE MATHING ELITIST WHINING JACKASS!

Happy?

as far as holy paladin went, I feel I got nerfed with all the changes.

Really? I’m enjoying the way things work now. I particularly like the way you focus deeply on one talent tree before branching out, and the way Mastery works. I almost never come close to running out of mana in heroics because Holy Shock and Word of Glory are so potent.

I almost never come close to running out of mana in heroics because Holy Shock and Word of Glory are so potent.

This will change with Catac since mana regen was way overpowered in Wrath.

There are still more balancing changes coming that haven’t already been released in 4.03?

In any event, I won’t be upset if mana becomes a resource I have to manage more diligently.

Well, I know Protector of the Innocent used to proc when you healed yourself, which was awesome and probably OP’d. Well, definitely OP’d. My level 14 holy paladin was struggling to kill the BE casters in Bloodmyst in the final days of 3.5.5. Pulling more than one was highly dangerous would often kill me. When 4.0.1 launched, I killed - no shit - seven or eight, at the same time. Just kept WoG and Holy Shocking myself for massive amounts.

not talking about heroic, I barely have to heal in heroic before change, it’s the raids, with change to divine plea as well seal of wisdom and judgement of wisdom.

Divine plea has been nerfed to the point it should really just be removed from the game. It’s insulting.

And warriors only used to get buffs because Kalgan played one. And warlocks were OP because his girlfriend played one.
