Winterspring has actually changed more than people give it credit for. Physically, the only difference is that the Cataclysm has apparently destroyed the demon gorge on the southern end of the zone.

The quests are almost all different, though, and there are a few new mobs. Irritatingly, they added no new flight points, but the zone’s small enough that it almost doesn’t matter.

Have they made getting to it the first time easier?

Heh, aren’t the guards spitting on you? You should have gotten a quest to talk to Hellscream. Did you retake Acherus and everything?

Did you finish the whole questline, talking to Thrall and all that? The NPCs won’t talk to you until you’re formally accepted into the Horde IIRC.

Given that it’s a phased quest anyway, I’d be surprised if Thrall wasn’t there for the DKs.

I did finish the quest, Thrall wasn’t there, it was Gorrash or whatever his name is. I’m able to talk to guards, bankers, merchants and even the secondary profession providers as I learned fishing and cooking in Org. I’ve also gotten quests in Org (go to Outland from the board, and some daily quests).

Nope, I was actually just planning on going to Outland when I was looking at my character sheet and saw the professions and realized I didn’t have any so I went looking for the trainers which is when I noticed this problem. I also tried to use one of the guards to direct to a trainer, which seemed to work until I got to the location and found there was no trainer there.

Yeah, in a roundabout kind of way. Timbermaw Hold rep has been tripled, so getting to Unfriendly or higher with them is utterly effortless, and you can now ride through Timbermaw Hold.

Seriously, three easy quests will get you to a point where the Timbermaw do not attack you on sight, and now there are more quests than there used to be (including a set of two quests that involves rescuing a baby furbolg).

Is this just after meeting Garrosh? You’ll still be in a phased city and would probably need to get back to uh whereever the quest sends you (doesn’t it port you somewhere?).

Alright, here’s what happened:

finished DK starting area and get quest to go to Org.
went to Org, got spat on and called bad names (I cried a little) spoke to Garrosh
Everybody loves me now!!
did some banking and selling, bound hearth got Outland quest
went to Ebon Hold to rune my new Ax
found out I already have flight paths all over the place, bonus!
notice I have no professions
went back to Org by Hearthstone
everyone except the primary trainers :(

Maybe your hearthstone is taking you to the phased Orgrimmar that’s specific to the DK quest? Try going to Outland then returning to Org the normal way instead of hearthing.

The headdress feathers now drop at a much higher rate (at least 50%, probably a bit higher), and the reputation has gone from 300 to 2000 per turn-in. I took my 80 hunter up there to get the Blacksmithing patterns Timbermaw sells, starting at Unfriendly. I did the quests in the south village in Felwood, then the quests in the north, then just farmed feathers. That got me to Exalted in a little over an hour.

Did you try relogging? I had all of the buttons on my quest window disappear the other day, but rebooting/relogging fixed it.

I haven’t relogged since this started, I’m hoping that will fix it now that I realize this is out of the ordinary.

Yeah, that’s what I meant.

Although if you’re seeing other players running around, you’re probably not stuck in the phased version.

There is no phasing for Org in that quest; you’re in the same city as everyone else, as evinced by the fact that other people can watch you get spit on and suchlike.
