I semi-chuckled the first time she said it, because that was the entire joke: dumb girl has no idea what she’s talking about. Once it’s obvious it’s a gag, I thought the rest of it fell flat.

So the trainers work now. Though it seems the guards still don’t know where they should be. It also seems Org doesn’t have all the trainers. I couldn’t find the mining trainer, I could find the apprentice but he doesn’t offer any training. I had to go back to Razor Hill to find a mining trainer.

This is gong to sound pretty stupid, but I was out of the WoW-loop for around half a year and haven’t read any official announcement or anything on mmo-champion.

Is there a summary (text/video/podcast) that details what the major changes are with cataclysm and where I need to park my character so I can begin levelling on tuesday?

Concerning where to park your chars:
For Horde I think portals to the new zones will open in Org as they are already there but inactive (Tauren area with a NPC from the Earthen Ring faction asking if we want to help in Hijal).

For Ally I assume there will be portals in Stormwind as IF seems virtually unchanged last time I was on my alt there.

Thanks intruder! That was just what I was looking for. Now to just update my UI, though I see that many addons are now superfluous, because blizzard really improved their native UI. Then I need to clean out my bags, since I don’t have any space for the “take 10 vital organs from cute little animals” questions and then I’ll need to go to Stormwind the “hard way”.

Decided to go on and upgrade to Cata and stumbled into a 2 hour wait. Seriously? On a Sunday morning? Is there some kind of maintenance or upgrade on their side because I’ve logged into my account during prime-time more than once late last week with no problem.

I had a 45 minute wait to upgrade when I tried about an hour ago. Not too much of a problem, I just went and did something else. The weekends are probably their busiest time. Now I’m downloading Cataclysm!

I actually had to log in again when I came back after an hour because it had timed out with some weird message, and it worked fine, so maybe it keeps your position at the head of the queue?
