Shaman also got a root for elementals.
Out of the top of my head all the CC spells that last at least 20 seconds.
Death Knight: …
Druid: Entangling Roots (any)
Hunter: Freezing Trap with Trap Launcher (any), Scare Beast (Beasts)
Mage: Polmorph (Beasts, Hunanoids)
Paladin: Repentance (Demons, Dragonkin, Giants, Humanoids and Undead), Turn Evil (Undead, Demons)
Priest: Shackle Undead (Undead)
Rogue: Sap (Humanoids, Beasts, Demons and Dragonkin)
Shaman: Hex ((Humanoids, Beasts), Bind Elemental (Elementals)
Warlock: Banish (Demons, Elementals), Enslave Demon (Demon) Seduction (Humanoids)
Warrior: …
Basically there are definitely match ups where as a party you are boned in the CC department. When trying to avoid that get Druids and/or Hunters although I noticed just now that Hibernate no longer exists as a druid spell.

Hibernate still exists. I was mezzing Dragonkin last night (as a druid)!

Can druids use root indoors now?
I recall they couldn’t for a long time making it useless unless you did Zul’Farak, Zul’Gurub.
I noticed that they increased the maximum range sap can be applied a lot since I last really used it apart from solo’ing groups (TBC).
Was that recently?
Have to get used to not having to go near mobs that much anymore like before.

Druids could use root indoors since sometime during BC.

From the hotfixes/patch notes today:
The Alchemy mount Vial of the Sands is no longer Bind-on-Pickup.
Oh my!
You need 8 sands at 3K gold each to make that… yikes!

Yeah I suspect it’s the motorcycle of the new expansion.
Cataclysm (and the Cata patch for the world, new zones, new lore, new talent trees) has turned this game into WoW 2 finally, IMO, and it is by far a better game for it. I sort of randomly decided to resub on December 5th, not even sure what character to play and for the FIFTH time in the last two years. 10 days later I am level 32, LOVING the game, having so much fun with the Drop Bear guild, and realizing just how much group and solo content the game truly has. For me it has become just as interesting as a single player RPG as an MMO, but I can do both.
I know I am not contributing much here, but I am having so much fun and I wanted to acknowledge how awesome the drop bears are.
Oh yeah, I am a paladin. We are overpowered and stuff. Respek!

Wow, that is quite the change! It makes sense, though, as the mount is a great gold sink for the economy.
Finally got around to trying the Crucible of Carnage last night; it was as bad as everyone here says. I can’t believe Blizzard still hasn’t found a solution to these same problems after three versions. Our attempts were made even worse by a group of Horde griefers who flagged themselves for PvP and then stood with their mammoth mounts on top of the quest giver while a bunch of their unflagged buddies waited for a poor sap to right-click on the wrong object. Eventually enough Alliance showed up that we outnumbered them, so we just flagged ourselves and killed them easily. Still really annoying though.
It took my group over an hour to finish the quests, with maybe only five minutes of that spent actually fighting the mobs.
Don’t get me started on CoC!
Even the jokes are getting old now in General Chat (DPS lf CoC).
We failed the first boss multiple times as people got feared out of the arena multiple times. Main problem is idiots tagging the mobs and hoping that the groups will kill em for them.
Best was another idiot that started the Worgen boss when we did the 1st boss. They got a nice fear when the Worgen started to tear shit up (where the tank needs massive heals). Nice wipe you noobs…
Finally managed with miss direct on tank and pulling wayyyy back.
Ironically that was the “hardest” boss for us though the Worgen guy made me green with envy as he tears tanks up like there is no tomorrow.
If your healer sucks this will be a wipe for sure.
Finally done with it on my rogue but I already fear for the worst on my lock once she hit Twilight Headlands.

Heh :)
Are paladins still very good/arguably overpowered at endgame? I was looking at the healing spells and Paladins just seemed to have better versions.

We just got a huge nerf yesterday, so I wouldn’t say so.
I am going to slap the next melee who misses the same interrupt, causing the third wipe in a row.
I do like the idea of posting damage taken logs after fights, heh…

I thought that nerf only applied to healing?
First guy in H SFK.
Don’t get me wrong, I <3 my melee buddies, but goddammit interrupt Mend Rotten Flesh already!
Edit: That’s slightly unfair. Only one wipe was due to a missed interrupt on that. The others were due to not assigning spells to interrupt and a pretty bad healer.

Which is what the previous poster was talking about being overpowered. :)
Druids and paladins don’t seem to have a “hybrid tax” at the moment and are rocking the meters, but paladins, as Athryn said, ate a pretty big nerf to AoE healing yesterday.
