I’m not sure about Warriors “stunning the crap” out of targets, at least as a Arms or Fury. As Protection sure, but Concussion Blow and Shockwave aren’t really crowd control as they’re not on demand. A Prot Warrior stunning something on the pull while the first mob is demolished works, but that’s nothing new.
So I reached level 85 on my warrior yesterday (104k health, woo! )and decided to check out Tol Barad.
It’s sort of like Arathi Basin but even more frustrating. The teams just zerg back and forth, losing and capturing bases in a cycle.
Tol Barad is pretty terrible. Great place for herbing, though; there’s a ton of Whiptail in the crocodile swamp, and there’s a ton of Azshara’s Veil and Cinderbloom up in the contested island.

DK tank is crazy right now, but once you stack enough mastery, you can gain more hp back than you lose with deathstrike.
if you lose 25k health in last 5 seconds, you can manage to gain 27k with death strike.
I was healing heroic SFK, and our DK tank manage to pretty much solo lord walden by himself.
You don’t drain any more health with mastery. You just get bigger physical absorption shields.
Mastery isn’t terrible, but it’s not amazing for blood as things stand right now.
That said, there are fights that are hilarious. The octopus in H ToT and the dragon in H Vortex Pinnacle, to name a couple.

I haven’t seen anyone soloing heroic boss other than that blood DK with insane amount of mastery.
Will Somtaaw be a playable race?
Bosses with weak hits that you can interrupt or move out of their spell damage are easy, yeah.
idrisz, I’ve gotta blow your brain for a second here.
On my Ele Shaman, I’ve tanked a half-dozen Heroic bosses, including the last two bosses in SFK.
For the last SFK Heroic boss, I did it without a healer, too; just my Shaman and two other DPSers alive from 90% to 0.

Yeah, but Walden’s probably the easiest Heroic boss in the game right now. If he solo’d, say, Vanessa VanCleef, I’d be really impressed. ;)
Heroic Stonecore is my least favorite instance in all of World of Warcraft, from Burning Crusade through to Cataclysm, and Heroic Ozruk my least favorite boss in the game.

I’ve read that if you spec into lichborne (giving up spell hit), you can heal yourself with ~30k deathcoils every 2minutes.

Tol Barad is straight up broken. The mechanics make it all but impossible to win on offense. If Blizzard doesn’t change the rules soon, I expect it’ll be completely abandoned.

he shield, you melee him, after paralyze, run out as fast as you can while dispel the range dps(if you can dispel, if not then it sucks).
pretty easy.

I tried tanking my first heroic just now (HoO) and man did I get my ass kicked! I didn’t call out the cc right, didn’t position the mobs right, and we were like 2/2 for wiping on trash packs. Luckily AdamB was with us, he popped into tank spec and quarterbacked the rest of the run while I took notes and pulled some respectable dps.
Back to the drawing board for me! I’m clearly not ready to hack it as a heroic tank, I have a lot of improving to do.
You’re fine ;) Much of it is learning the pulls, which just comes from dying a lot. I was basically where you are, with much the same results, last week.
HoO is also a pain in the ass. You’ve got a lot of high-priority stuff (the Fire dudes, the charge shot, etc etc) to deal with, all of the mobs do tons of tank damage, and if you don’t have the right CC, it’s going to be highly unfortunate.
Even going in there with Shaman + Mage, I was definitely feeling the desire for a third humanoid CC a couple of times.
