I don’t think you do.
You should probably stop.
Back in my day, we didn’t have no silly LFG insta-port to dungeons. At least 2 people had to travel there every time! While I do agree it’s a bit dumb to require people to find the entrance to a dungeon they’ll likely never be actually traveling to, it’s also dumb to complain so hard about it.

Omulexi the Dark Elf, I … hope you find what you seek.
I hope it with all my heart.

Based on your incessant complaints, I don’t think you should be playing Wow.
I got the message. I’ll be responding in PMs, but Omulexi you may want to post your experiences in one of our Ultima threads, like the Ultima IV 25th Anniversary thread I started last year (or any other one you deem more appropriate). We Ultima fans always love to hear about how others came to the fold and enjoyed the games.

Luxury. Back in my day, we all had to walk there, while avoiding enemy players who would kill us and force us to corpse drag for 30 or so minutes.
And when we got into the instance, we all had to eat a lump of cold poison.
You got your poison cold? What we wouldn’t have given for cold poison! No, we had to eat our poison warm, so it was all gooey and bitter.
Pretty significant Combat Rogue buff on the PTR right now:
Blade Flurry is now a toggle that can be turned off by pressing the button again. In addition, this ability no longer has a fixed duration, but will go on cooldown for 10 seconds after being canceled (similar to Stealth).
Doesn’t mean anything on single-target fights, but that’s a huge buff when clearing trash or any other situation where you can attack two mobs standing next to each other (Halfus’s drake adds, for example).
That’s not a problem. That’s by design. You hate Vash? Great! You can skip it entirely! They’re giving you choice so that if you really hate a zone, you can just not do it.
I’m not the type to quest at 85 unless it’s a rep thing, and even then it’s just a grind til I can get the stuff I need. None of my friends or guildies like 85 questing either. It’s how we play. It’s our mentality. You hit 85 and you play the endgame. You don’t go back to 80.
Great! Then the game accomodates your play style. You don’t ever have to quest at 85. You’re probably going to have some money problems, but hey… that’s your choice.
I’m sure there are plenty of WoW players that will tear at their clothes and gnash their teeth at that statement, or tell me it’s all my fault, or blame me for playing the game “wrong” since I’m supposed to care about RP, but that’s not how I, or anyone else I play with, sees it.
That’s fine, dude. Nobody else cares that you & your friends are excessively rigid. Seriously. You’re making things a lot harder (and less fun) for yourself by bypassing all that content, but it’s your game time. You do what you want.
Given your strident & angry tone, though, I think Oghier might be right. Just stop playing for awhile. When people are burned out on WoW and don’t realize it yet, they generally start to make angry, bitter posts that just don’t reflect reality. Your description of Vash’jir, for example, simply doesn’t describe Vash’jir. Check out the posts of Pogo or Joe. M before they quit. They sounded similar to you. And now both of them sound quite a bit happier.
Just a suggestion. If you decide to continue playing… good luck, and have fun.

Back in my day there were no summoning stones.

Back in my day we had autoexec.bat
No problem and I again apologize to those of this thread. I’ll see you in the Ultima Threads.
Get off my lawn!
Back in my days you either had to have a lock + 2 people at the entrance to summon or everyone had to walk there…
Summoning stone my ass.
Well, I just completed every quest from Hyjal and Vashj’r and I’m only halfway through level 83. Granted, I haven’t been through any dungeons yet, but it seems like you can easily do all the new quest zones without reaching 85.
The visuals are very impressive, definitely on par with the exotic locales seen in TBC and I do appreciate that they’ve wrapped each of the zones into an overarching story. I probably liked Hyjal much more for its epic story than Vashj’r even though Vashj’r was much more visually stunning. Deepholme is reminding me a lot of the Outlands, which is my favorite area in WoW without a doubt, so I’ll probably like it more than Hyjal.
So far, I’ve enjoyed Cataclysm, but I’m not sure I’ll be renewing next Saturday when my time expires. RIFT has caught my eye, Guild Wars 2 is getting ever so near, and I’ve pretty much lost interest in leveling an alt worgen/goblin.
For what it’s worth, here’s a screenshot:

I believe you. I was about halfway through 83 at that point myself. I was 84 by the end of Deepholm, and dinged 85 midway through Uldum.
Ah, okay. Couldn’t tell if you were joking or not. :P
You get a lot more experience for each “level” the quest gains so doing both Hyjal and Vashj’r is probably quite a bit slower than moving on as soon as you get a new level. It’s something along the line of 72 000 for each quest in Twilight Highlands.
