They really skimped on the bracers this expansion.

Yeah they’re pretty bad.
Try to find a throwing weapon as a rogue. Theres one. One.
Theres generally 2 of every bracer once you’re talking heroics, though getting them to drop is another story. Same for wands and the like. At least you can make two attempts a day if you’re so inclined.
Still they really should’ve made more rep reward bracers or something. Theres one for tanking plate and thats it as far as I know (though at least that one is epic).

YES. I was stunned to find that I had leveled my DK tank to 85 and he was still wearing his Saronite Swordbreakers.
So I started a Worgen Druid and I’m speccing as a feral cat. I’m about lvl 38 now and I’ve done a few classic instances. DPS ain’t bad, but who knows for sure when you’re levelling and the people you group up with aren’t the same level or ilvl as you.
My issue is that I find myself almost constantly out of energy. In a new fight, I basically go: Rake (to put a bleed up), then Mangle, Mangle. After that, I’m out of energy and I basically have to wait to keep using abilities: Ferocious Bite, Mangle, or another Rake if the bleed comes off.
Is this normal? I’ve never played a Rogue, but my Hunter at least has Steady Shot which replenishes some Focus. It’s very weird to have my rotation be based on when I’ve regained enough energy and not based on the GCD.
Perhaps I’m still too low-level and haven’t learned the skills to solve this problem yet?

That’s pretty much normal. Playing a rogue or feral druid is all about energy management, not cooldown magagement. You can’t button-mash and be satisfied. Work on openers, time your strikes, look for talents that grant (or conserve) energy (ex. Berserk reduces energy costs by 50%, Primal Madness raises energy cap). At top level, haste=energy regen.
BUT, in an instance, you’re not likely to top the recount list. Ferals are much better at single-target rather than AOE damage. That said, you bring nice buffs and a brez, so you’re probably not going to get kicked either.

Speaking of this. How many Kitty Worgen Druids do you think are called Catdog ?
You don’t have Shred yet, I think? This is part of the problem.

Quick tips regarding feral druids, both while levelling and at max-level:
-
Feral DPS isn’t about spamming moves – there is no rotation, just a list of ‘priorities’. Don’t spam your moves, always keep a baseline of 20 energy or so in reserve. Get used to that now and you’ll have a much, much easier time when you’re trying to DPS in raids.
-
Always keep your bleeds up. This means Rake and Rip (whenever you get it), as well as mangle.
-
Focus on agility. If you have the choice between 10 agility and 20 Critical Strike Rating, take agility. If you have a choice between 10 agility and 100 attack power, take agility.
Feral DPS is one of the more complex/frantic specs you can play in this game, less so now than before 4.0.1. You have to know your class/spec/gear pretty well to be able to determine what you should do next. It’s also fun as hell if you enjoy that kind of thing.
According to the Armory, there are 207 characters named this. No idea what percentage of those are worgen druids, though.
For the record, my resto druid is named Dogwood.
Speaking of terrible names, here’s the breakdown of people who were just so proud of themselves for thinking they came up with “Worgenfreeman”, which is one character too long for a WoW name:
Worgenfreman - 128
Worgenfreemn - 117
Worgnfreeman - 138
Wogenfreeman - 39
Worgenfremen - 105
Worgonfreemn - 17
Worgonfreman - 53
There are more combos I didn’t look up, but I stopped due to all the vomiting.
This made me chuckle out loud. Thanks for that.
I’ve run into Captworgen a few times too
To Shreds you say? Nope, I don’t, but wouldn’t that be part of the same problem? It costs energy too.
Thanks for the tips guys. I am definitely looking for something “different” with each of my toons. I’ve got a pally healer, a DK tank (which I haven’t started learning how to play yet), and two DPS: one hunter for ranged, and this is my melee character. But the more different they are to play, the better.
I’m sure this will make more sense to me once I’ve started to do it, but can I ask why? If you have left-over energy, why wouldn’t you use it?
I thought it was less Energy, and I thought it gave two CPs. Both of these are wrong! My apologies.

Shred won’t help your leveling deeps because you need to be behind the target to use it.

I swear everything dies after pounce ravage.
ravage basically either crit and 1 shot, or not crit and does like 60% of their hitpoints.

No kidding. I got so sick of running HoO over and over until that stupid thrown weapon dropped. I’m actually quite surprised they didn’t remove thrown weapons (and +Str guns/bows) from all boss loot tables and instead make them JP/VP item like they did for relics.

Makes sense. I reckon most guilds haven’t even finished all the normal mode raid bosses yet.

I’m surprised that they’re calling it 4.1 though.
