the 3 new instances is very easy, especially compare to ZA and ZG from the last patch.

From what I hear from my old 10-man group, the normal difficulty (not LFR) for the new raid is kind of a joke. They apparently blazed through the first four bosses last night with enough time left over to go do some Firelands farming. As far as I know, only one of their members spent any real time on the PTR. For reference sake, it took our group roughly 5-6 weeks to kill the first 4 bosses in Firelands.

with random pubbies, we one shot last boss of well of eternity with only 3 people… me in my shitty shadow priest dps gear(356 GS or something last night), a tank and a healer.

basically one shot all the bosses in the first 2 instances with my crap gear, I got like 6 upgrades or something last night which is insane.

Obtained Orb of the First Satyrs.

Obtained Demonic Skull.

Obtained Cowl of Highborne Sorcerors.

Obtained Slippers of Wizardry.

Obtained Historian’s Sash.

Obtained Leggings of the Cleansing Flame.

Obtained Trail of Embers.

Obtained Robes of Fate.

Obtained Cowl of Destiny.

Obtained Archivist’s Gloves.

for some odd reason I could return the old tier robe from to Justice point vendor for full refund even though I had it for a few months and gem them as well. so I end up returning the robe I had, since I got a better one from drop, and purchase the new justice point set.

you can purchase 378 ilvl gear with Justice point now which is really awesome.

What’s the iLevel requirement for the new dungeons?

Yeah, I was sitting in SW last night on WW when I got the message that Deathwing had been killed. Sure enough a piece of him (still can’t figure out what) was mounted by the portal island.

One piece of good news is that they upped the VP from Cata launch heroics from 70 to 150, and lowered the number of bosses you have to kill in the trolls from 4 to 2, and you get 150 VP there as well.

So hopefully, with the pain:reward ratio improved a little in those dungeons, people won’t mind running heroics as much and the population will balance out a little bit, so getting your VP, if you don’t raid in a particular week, should at least be a little better than it was in 4.2.

353 for the 5-Mans, 372 for LookingForRaid

Each patch they bump up the ilevel of the crafted PvP gear so your existing recipes are now making 377 PvP gear which is a cheap way to get your alts numbers up a bit if needed.

Hmm, this might actually get me to resub. Even if my guild is perhaps not large enough to raid anymore, popping in and out might be fun and I could actually experience the raid encounters.

Msn, the void storage is expensive. 100 gold to unlock it, and then a hefty fee for each piece you want to put in there. I tried to put in an old piece of PvP gear and they wanted to charge me 50 gold. It also strips off any enhancements on the gear. It’s clearly designed to be used to store older gear for transmog purposes.

The transmog thing is cool and relatively cheap, though. It’s like 10-12 gold per transmog. Can’t do weapons though.

There was a group running old Burning Crusade content last night just to get drops for transmog purposes.

Pretty sure you can they just have crazy limits at the moment. ie: Can’t mog a 1H into a Main hand.

I love the little things they added: Zone levels are now on the map when you hover over them, iLevel is now ‘What you’re wearing / What’s in your bag’ and that three new instances are a story in themselves ( get to the end of one and can go right to the next one if you want ). I haven’t tried LFR yet ( ilvl 371 weoo ) but I really do enjoy the new instances. The fight mechanics of the last boss in End Time is really fun and new.

In relation to the story it’d be nice if WoW had the ability keep a journal of quests so I can read the quests I’m getting from instances, right now I’m running in and having to just accept them before the group runs off to fight shit. Maybe if it made a note after each quest chain as a summary for what took place.

Oh, cool. I still have the patterns for the leather working ones.

You can definitely transmog weapons, but there are restrictions:

  • no legendaries
  • none of the old pre-honor point PvP weapons (Grand Marshal’s/Whatever Horde Grand Marshal is)
  • has to be the same kind of weapon (no axes to swords)
  • has to match the “hand” description (2h, one hand, main hand, etc)

The one hand/main hand thing is kinda weird, I wonder if they’ll drop that at some point. The only exception to that rule is that you can transmog guns and bows, mostly to allow people to get guns for their stats but not have to hear all the shootiness.

Awesome new change: you no longer need to be in a raid group to enter raid instances. Now you can go solo farming Molten Core without having to bug someone. Yay!

Interesting. Was wondering when they were going to do that.

Cool I am going to transmog all my weapons from now on to the one fist weapon spellpower item in the game.

you can’t

  • has to be the same kind of weapon (no axes to swords)

Well that sucks, they need to make another spellpower fist item.

Wowhead has a pretty good database of transmog sets up:

The one hand/main hand thing is kinda weird, I wonder if they’ll drop that at some point.

IIRC, that’s mainly a limitation imposed by the art work because some weapons have explicitly left- or right-handed models. This is most prevalent with fist weapons.
