I hate to say it, but that’s pretty close to the true “one loot per boss” PUG raid experience. Sometimes you’re golden, sometimes you’re screwed.
That said, it would be a nice tweak to have a +roll reduction for each piece you win each week. But then people would start to game that system, too. Probably by dropping group until they got the boss they wanted to start with that week.
There was a blue post yesterday that said they are working on something to reduce the chance of one person winning a bunch of loot in LFR.
According to rumors, they hotfixed in some LFR changes. An example was provided: Mages can no longer roll need on Spirit cloth.
Looks like they’ve also slapped on some class restrictions to a number of items.

So can we talk Lore?
I actually kinda like what they’ve done with the story in the new three dungeons. First you jump way into the future and fight famous WoW heroes who have become shadows of themselves. Then you jump way into the past to play a part in one of the most famous and defining events in WoW history. If that sort of thing doesn’t appeal to the teenaged boy-fantasy reader in you, what does? Both have very cool end boss fights.
I’ve always found the concept of Dragons as “aspects” – crazy immortal shards of some older supreme creature – to be a very cool and unique take on a standard fantasy creature. I’m glad to see them featured. And Wyrmrest Temple too, even though I’m not really sure what’s going on in that Hour of Twilight dungeon. Why are minions of the Old Gods showing up? Who is that Benedictus guy? Anyway.
Nerd alert.
Uh…don’t do Dragon Soul, then :)

Why, are they lame?
I will say this; whoever does the voice acting for Murozond is horrible. He sounds like Jon Lovitz or something.
The dragons have been de-aspect’d. I guess the idea is that the dragons were given super powers by the Titans to keep Azeroth safe until the baby races proved they were big enough to get to level 85 and invent raid finder. So now they’re just regular dragons or something.
Raid storyline
The dragons have expended their Aspect powers to make sure that Neltharion/Deathwing is permadead.
Also, the last fight in Well of Eternity is badass, and could have been an amazing raid encounter.
Thanks for the spoiler. I was actually looking forward to the story behind it all.
I apologize. That shit is exactly what spoiler tags/spoiler warnings are for, and I was an idiot not to have done so.

Why wouldn’t they? Deathwing is in bed with an Old God.

I hate Tyrande’s voice. She sounds so whiny. "Illlidan, what have you done? Illidan, take out the garbage, Illidan, pick up your clothers…Illllidaaaan!
Yeah, WoW isn’t really known for great voice acting. I think it bothers me more that it’s the same actress voicing Aggra or however you spell it and the voices are just too similar. I do find it hilarious when Malfurion asks Illidan what he was doing with his hand in the well, though.
Also, the first time we went into End Time I thought Murozond sounded like a dork but now I like his bit when you first enter the bronze dragonshire. I caught my self saying “I had not seen then. I did not know.” while making dinner.

I find the Murozond/Nozdormu backstory pretty interesting. Say what you will about WoW, they do a pretty good job with their lore.
Unfortunately last night I got lucky on an LFR and won 3 items including the spell DPS dagger from Deathwing. Combine that with the drops I got from LFR last week and the drops from the new 5-mans and suddenly I have nothing left to do on Horde-side in the game until LFR resets next Tuesday. Burned out on standard raiding and am enjoying the Rift-style “group of strangers who meet in the night to accomplish a goal” system.
Gear used to be a bit of a grind-fest to gather JP/VP, farm for gear, etc. The new instances and LFR are so quick that you can max your VPs and get all your drops in an evening or two of runs.
Starting to see visions that I’ll be playing WoW on Tuesdays until my LFR gear set is complete, then spend the rest of the week in SW:TOR.

There is no good. No evil. No Light. There is only POWER!
POOOWAAAAAH…
Good grief, people who run LFRs are done the loot grind on Deathwing?
Oh Blizzard… shameful.
There is only PAHWAH!
Yep, they beat the game on easy mode. That shouldn’t be…difficult?
