Yeah, I just assumed it would be more than that.

If you’re asking about the repeatable random dungeon quests, I haven’t seen that info yet. I would assume it would follow the current model and be something like 25-30JP as just the reward.
I had been trying to get the seasonal festival achievements (for the 310% flying mount) for the longest time until I realized how impossible the School of Hard Knocks achievement was for me (and I had completed most of the other seasonal stuff at that point).
I skipped SoHK the first year, hoping they’d remove it because I generally can’t stand PvP and didn’t see how I would ever get it done given the objectives. However when they didn’t, I decided to give it a shot on the first day it was available the next year. I was pretty surprised to find it wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be. That was partly because there were a ton of people trying to do the same thing, and partly because I just stuck with some of the harder objectives to get it done.
In the end, I think I worked three characters through the achievement over a day or two playing a few hours both nights. I would imagine it gets much more difficult as the event wears on though, partly because the number of people queuing drops significantly.
I still think it’s a stupid achievement, but I’m glad I gave it a shot the second time around.

It’s about 4500 with Exalted Stormwind rep.

I thought I heard that this was, in fact, the case. That mounts of all sorts would travel at the fastest speed you’ve trained.
Athryn

It is not currently the case in Wrath, no. (I did just double check to be sure, and any flying mount other than my violet proto moves slower.)

Specifically I’m wondering about a clear of a Heroic dungeon, so that there’s a baseline for around how much we can expect from raid bosses.
As it stands, with T11 costing 2200 for chest/legs, you’d have to run a random a day for 74-88 days to afford one piece vs running one a day for 45 days currently to afford a T10. I don’t like that conversion rate at all, Yogi. Hopefully it’ll be made up for in what you get from raids.
Should I get to exalted with all the starting city factions now, or wait for Cata?
I was currently waiting because I thought Cata might offer quests that would give me starting city faction rewards.
My main leveled up before they increased the faction rewards, so despite doing a shit-ton of vanilla quests she’s barely revered.

You can get exalted pretty quickly if you do the Argent Tournament dailies, even though they will kill your soul.

Yeah, I know that’s not how it works now. I thought I heard that they were implementing the change in Cataclysm.
There are several new-ish Wrath mounts that do, in fact, move at your currently top trained speed (i.e. if you have a 310 mount it will move at 310, otherwise it’s 280).

But give you a pretty decent amount of money, and every week (assuming that you have all the dailies unlocked) you can get a new mount or heirloom piece.
Which is why I stopped doing them.

Yeah it is something they are implementing in Cataclysm, which is why I said I am looking forward to being able to use a mount other than my Violet Proto Drake. :)
Whoops, and I was wrong, it is 4000 at exalted.

So a thread on MMO-Champion has a new Worgen female model from the euro Cata forums:

Aaaand I hate it. It’s all furry/Disney. Personally I’m of the opinion that females should look like women when human, and then turn into the same lycanthropic engine of destruction that the men do. But I am willing to compromise for something like the following where the head is the same, but the body is feminine:

While I welcome the Worgen with open arms, I think the female model for them is the biggest clusterfuck I’ve seen in WoW design. For those who have been around since the beginning, has there ever been a race that had this much redesign?
I think I’d run them long enough to get a tabard, then run random dungeons for the faction/badge combo instead. Also because I can’t think of anything more tedious than the jousting crap from the argent tournament stuff.
But the jousting is the least annoying part! Flying out to BFE to kiss frogs, now that’s annoying.

The male models when through several different iterations before they ended up how they are now, so considering they’ve only just added female models in the last week, I expect them to change as well. You can’t change the face at all currently, and you can’t even get into the game with the female models.

But given that the original model was this, which I am happy with other than the ears needing to be swept back or down like the action pose, they seem to be heading in the wrong direction IMO.

That (Rasputin’s first pic) looks monstrous for all the wrong reasons. I agree with Rasputin that female human forms but the same wolf forms as men is probably the simplest and most appealing solution.
Edit: Wow, Tier 11 warlock gear looks cracktastic like it’s a fantasy skittles commercial or something. Blech.

Well, a December release date makes me happy. That much more time to get my silly Uld drake achievement. Its been hell getting a stable group together to get it done. Which is sad because you can breeze through half of them in a 2-3 hours if folks aren’t total idiots.
I agree with you that the original model looks better, but honestly, the whole idea of Worgens give me the willies. No matter how good they look, they inexorably remind me of furries. Granted, the Disney-esque models remind me much stronger of furries, but either way, I have a sinking feeling that playing a Worgen involves yiffing.
