You’re right, any time you have the launcher open, it uploads patch info to other people. That’s pretty sneaky of Blizzard.

I thought what you said sounded weird, but I relaunched the launcher and checked the connection info, and lo and behold it started making connections and uploading to people.

You can still do both you just cant kill the same bosses in both, as I understand it.

Just popping into this thread and catching up on stuff, since I’m considering going back into the game in a week or two now that new stuff is starting to happen. And I read this:

Holy crap! Maybe it’s time to dust off my hunter? That’s quite a change.

You cannot queue for the heroic ICC instances with sub 4k GS. It doesn’t let you until you have around 4400. I’ve done this and my friends have done this often enough for us to know what we’re talking about. You might be getting screwed by people artificially inflating their GS and then swapping gear out.

And I’m sorry if you “don’t buy” that I did heroic FOS/POS with 28k. To make matters even worse for you, two of the other characters were my friend’s priests - shadow and holy - that he was dualboxing with, both of whom had equal gear to me.

FOS and POS are just not difficult instances to tank, especially on a Paladin.

Sinnick: Mana’s gone, too. Bigger change.

Someone on the general forums noted that RankWatch no longer has a purpose. Makes me a little sad, I love that mod.

Well, yeah. Spells no longer have ranks afaik.

Greetings:
Well, to be fair, Paladin tanking is just easy mode in general. Or, it was before the patch.

Best,
Michael.

Yep, I deleted it today since it’s no longer necessary. I’m not sad at all about it, it will be nice to see that players will finally just use the correct spells (ha) and that the dual spec bug is gone.

I buy it, and I did it around 30k hp on a druid tank my first time, which i’m sure comes out to even worse geared. I didn’t find it hard, but was lucky I had a good group that did stuff like crowd control (two priests with shackle) the pulls after ick and krick.

At first i thought he was trolling but now i believe he is just dumb.

What?! (From Blizzard)

Are the mage glyph tiers (Prime, Major, Minor) going to be organized to match that of beta because on PTR certain Glyphs were marked as majors instead of primes and thus would cause mayhem with specs.

Unfortunately, no—but thank you for bringing this up. For those reading along, the following mage glyphs in 4.0.1 are incorrectly classified as Major glyphs instead of Prime glyphs and, as a result, cannot be slotted at this time:

Glyph of Arcane Barrage
Glyph of Molten Armor
Glyph of Frostbolt
Glyph of Arcane Missiles
Glyph of Frostfire Bolt
Glyph of Fireball

While this issue cannot be hotfixed, we understand the impact it will have on players and so are searching for means by which to address the matter as quickly as possible. It’s definitely a priority for us.

Frost here I come <sigh>

EDIT:

The listed prime glyphs that are currently incorrectly categorized as major glyphs can still be slotted as majors for the time being.

My god Blizzard is killing me here. 12 PST then 2 PST then 3 PST then 4 PST and now 5 PST. How can their estimates be that off? I mean, they’ve only done this process a million times. Fortunately, Civ5 has kept me busy the past 3 or 4 hours, but I’m itching for something else now darn it.

Michael, I completely agree. The last time I’d tanked was as a warrior back in vanilla, and oh god it was so painful. The Paladin was so easy I actually enjoyed tanking with it which I would never have expected.

In all fairness, they only do this process every 2 years, with a new expansion. And this is by far the largest patch they’ve ever put up.

But yeah, this is a big one. I guess it’s good the known issues list takes so long to read…

Good thing I picked up Medal of Honour today.

Despite triple-checking my background downloader settings, apparently I have downloaded exactly 0.0 MB of the 4.0.1 patch. Doesn’t sound like anyone’s playing yet, so I guess it doesn’t matter much.

Servers up and I’m in! :)

Yes and the stamina buff is in! Mage with 23K HP, I’m a tank now :)

Having issues with this massive update. Curse Updater is no longer updating addons even though it is reporting my addons out of date. Also the WoW Repair Tool is not working anymore. I also had an error during the main WoW patching process.

Curse Premium Client is working fine here.

I was dc’d within 3 minutes of being c’d.
