In the guys defense, I was having a spectacularly bad run. I wanted to run HPoS and had that chosen. It dumped me in N-FoS. So I figured, “eh, this is kinda a coast.” But, for whatever reason I was pulling about 2k damage. I have no idea, other than like I said, “one of those runs.”
But the guy was pissed off because I wasn’t targeting and when I told him I was Volleying he just said “…” and vote kicked me. No loss.
However, it did make me realize that getting the last piece of Triumph gear I can get isn’t a big deal. I’m not going to worry about the frosties go get me to 5k GS, so I’m just going to quest for a while and not fret it. I never got epic flying on any char, and I want a motorcycle :)

half of the ICC is easily puggable, but most raid still require a decent gear score, like 5k+ with achievement.

No sadly I am not. I’m begining to think they’ve lowered their requirements for the ICC instances. The dk said he’d turned 80 the day earlier, I took him at his word. He wasn’t a total noob and knew tanking basics but the HP meant I had little room to heal anyone else. His gearscore was 3595 or something similar and with imp fort and king’s drums he was at 32k HP. It didnt help the dps was mostly useless except for a rogue who was pushing 3k+ dps. The other two overall doing 2.5k combined.
Edit: Ok I found the screenshot after wipe #1 on the last boss, his unbuffed HP shows as 26682. His quote was, “hit 80 last night alot of farming to do”. And his armory confirms he hit level 80 on 3/15/10.

Then they eliminated the requirement; it used to be you couldn’t get into the ICC 5-mans without a certain level of gear. No idea what that level was, but I know our friend’s pally tank couldn’t queue for it at all.
I think there’s some issues with the RDF. I had selected HPoS to queue for, and it stuck me in N-FoS.

The last minor patch they lessened the requirements but didn’t eliminate them. When my DK turned 80, she was under 3k GS.
Is it me or mages (especially arcane) and rogues are a bit OP on the DPS meters? My Survival hunter has a GearScore of ~5560 and I’m doing 5k to 6k in a 25 man raid whereas I see mages doing upwards of 8k.
A guildie’s Marks hunter, who has lower GS than me, does more DPS. When did Blizz tweak Marks hunters? (I played a Marks hunter for a long time until I switched over to Surv for the raiding buffs and Explosive Shots).

I’m no expert, but your DPS looks a little low for that gearscore with all the buffs/debuffs from 25-man raids.

yeah 5-6k is low when you have around 5.6k GS…

Yeah it is. That’s why I’m frustrated.
I know I lose my Sniper buff if I’m moving around kiting adds (such as the Saurfang’s blood beasts).
Sure but I wear my PvP by default (I have the Outfitter automatically switch to my PvE gear when I enter an instance).
Timing my shot CDs with autoshots is no longer an issue like in the past. I’m wondering if I put too much into Agility enchants and gems rather AP (Agility can be increased with Kings unlike AP).

which is kind of pointless, unless you wear your pvp gear into pve…
that’s why it’s hard to figure out without looking at the gear you actually wear in pve.
It’s like showing up to a repair center with the wrong car.
Well, I’m still at work. When I get home I’ll make sure my hunter will be wearing PvE gear.

Eric, two things:
1 - Marks is above Survival atm and has been for about a raiding tier, due to armor pen.
2 - Do you have any WOL/WMO reports? Those are a lot more useful than anything else.
Use WOL instead. I’m more familiar with it. xD
