Recently I argued with someone that said that my “Onyxia 10 man” didn’t qualify for Ony 25 on an alt until he put me on ignore…
That’s been pretty much my experience too, sluggo. I’ve also run hundreds of random heroics and almost all of them have gone just fine. In fact, I think I’ve only ever seen a vote kick come up once (which instantly passed), and that was because the kickee was an Arms warrior doing ~700 dps in Oculus while calling everyone else in the group “fags” and other such nonsense. I’ve never seen anyone kicked because of a low gearscore or poor dps.
I’ve seen that for ICC and ToC/ToGC PUGs but never for VoA.

On our server, there are definitely some pugs that ask for achievements to get in, but there are plenty of others that don’t, especially for VoA 25. If you’re in tier 9 gear and lurk in trade long enough, you’ll have no issue finding a few VoA 25’s over the course of a week that will let you in.

My guild has been working on him since mid-Feb, but I personally only joined them about three weeks ago.

Despite the loss of all those raiders a few weeks ago, my guild managed to get BQL 25 down for the first time last week. We had to 12:30 to get her, but it only made sense after not one, not two, but four heartbreaking < 300k wipes at her enrage.
So, did you guys know that you can skip the first two bosses in UP? Because I didn’t. On that note, if you have somebody clueless like me along who’ll start the Gortok minibosses while the tank is running past it and starting Skadi, you end up doing both events at once. If you also have a pretty reckless tank, you’ll also keep clearing trash while doing the last three minibosses. Top that off with some good DPS and you’ll cap it off by frantically finishing off the final packs to the tune of “What this place? I will destroy you!” and then fighting Gorok and Ymiron together.
There should be an achievement!

you can skip every boss except the last boss in old kingdom, there is a hole in the geo there that let you skip every boss.
That is AWESOME. I totally need to do this, when I resub.

Did the new Strat last night. Much faster now. Talk to Chromie at the very front and you port to the entrance with the first wave already spawned. The timer for the drake is now 25 minutes, which we beat with 7minutes left in a pug.

Wow, that’s funny! You can also skip Novos the Summoner in Drak’Tharon Keep. He’s the lich that summons adds you have to kill before he activates. I learned that a few days ago. If you just run past him, he doesn’t come after you. I think maybe some of his adds come after you, but it wasn’t too bad.
Skipping bosses irks me. I’ve ended up one badge short of an item after a run quite often.

Yeah, I am not a fan of it either. They only take about a minute to kill.
In AK you save a lot of time IF people can jump.
The method is pretty similar to DM to avoid the ghosts.
Some people simply can’t do it though (Undead suck jumping).
Luckily we had a lock last run and could summon the one that failed…
