Not that I’m seriously considering doing this, but if someone wanted the mount, what does the net cost end up being? From what I’ve read the trial account has to pay for 60 days of game time, but it also rewards 30 days free to the sponsoring account. So is it $15 ($30 for 60 days - $15 credit for 30 days = $15)? Or is it $35 ($20 for client/key + $30 for 60 days - $15 credit for 30 days = $35)?

client + 3 months - 1 month = cost of the mount for 1 character, since the mount isn’t account bound.

ICC heroic mode difficulty (at least on 10-man, anyway) seems all over the map. We attempted HM Festergut and Rotface for the first time tonight, 2-shotting the former and 1-shotting the latter. Aside from HM Gunship Battle, they’re both significantly easier than any of the HM bosses from the first wing.

Also, none of the HM bosses we’ve attempted so far have been nearly as difficult as the Lich King on normal mode. I guess Blizzard changed their design philosophy from ToGC where heroic Northrend Beasts were much, much tougher than normal Anub’arak.

Okay, folks, got a question for y’all. Jeffd is starting to burn out on raiding since it’s such a damn slog to get our group to be… well, frankly, competent (as his previous posts have shown). If he does decide to hang up his raiding hat, I’ll be looking for a new place where I might be able to kick the ass of one King of Liches. I also might be bringing along a holy priest and a rogue, depending.

So, all I’m doing right now is feeling things out for finding a place with another group. Anyone have a slot open for a resto druid and possibly some mates? I honestly don’t know where folks are really at for progression and have never contemplated switching servers before.

Yeah, it is interesting to see the effect of raids exploding. A 25 man guild on our server exploded recently, and about a third of them applied to our guild. We could use some more people, but not THAT many more people.

Bears rock :)

Yah, DBs is always open to QT3 folks, as far as I know. We’re not exactly a hyper-progression guild, but there’s plenty of raids going.

Plus free cupcakes…

if you guys raid more than 2 hours a week you guys are more progressive than my guild.

Bears typically run two 10 man ICC groups, a 25 man mostly farming lower icc and just starting to push into plague wing, a 10 man ulduar hard modes and achievements, the weekly raid quest, and the occasional retro raid. We are quite active in raiding but it’s all very casual and friendly. There aren’t any fixed slots/attendance in any of the raids but people tend to sign up for roughly the same days just due to schedule and amount of time they have to raid. Having only been raiding since January, all the experiences have been great.

The guild I run with is mostly people from work since our playtime actually match.

But unfortunately we been crunching so only raiding 2 hours on Tuesday, though I found a GDKP 25 man runs which seems to be pretty awesome, I been running with that group on the side on weekends.

We had something similar in our server. One of the top end raiding guilds on horde side was largely disbanded due to the GL having sudden RL problems, and a large part of thier raiding core jumped ship and joined our guild (we are another progression raiding guild).

That said, we finally dropped Lich King this week for the first time in 25 man. My god is that fight difficult. Took us forever. Thankfully, I frapsed the fight and put it up on youtube to immortalize it.

So did mine! It was indeed quite painful. Hopefully it wasn’t a fluke.

Hellscream/Wrynn buff in ICC is now at 15%.

Ugh. I hope that’s enough to
a) give us more time on LK once we reach him, by blowing through the rest of the content
b) Shore up some of the problems we’re having on LK, namely raid heals and killing Valkyries fast

It’s unfortunately not going to help at all with bad defile placement and slow pickups on the Raging Spirits. And people fucking standing in front of the Shambling Horrors

Yeah, if any Qt3 people are looking for a place to land, the Bears have stuff going on almost every night, and it’s all low-pressure. There are weeks where we might run three ICC 10’s in addition to the other various shenanigans mentioned above. You can’t beat it.
