The Lumberjack Cocktail

1 part Gin
1 part Apple Brandy
1 part Southern Comfort
1 part Maple Syrup

Shake together with ice and serve in a martini glass garnished with a spring of rosemary. Tastes like waffles, in a good way. It’s a Christmas morning tradition in my family.

Cranberry Juice

Can be done as a shot, in a highball glass, and looks lovely in a martini glass too.

Bourbon Manhattan, straight up, martini glass with maraschino cherry.

Greyhound (grapefruit juice + gin)

Depending on what’s for dinner, a margarita or a whiskey sour, but I can’t drink such sweet stuff anymore.

Although tequila, Coke Zero & Rose’s lime juice give a lot of the taste of a margarita.

“Bahama Mama”, or how to get your wife/girlfriend drunk

1/4 banana
1/2 oz dark rum
1 1/2 oz light rum
1 oz coconut milk
2 oz pineapple juice
1 dash grenadine

Put everything in a blender.

(Recipe stolen from some site, after comparing the ingredients with the drink I made years back)

  1. Captain and Coke. Lime goes without saying.
  2. Grey Goose, rocks, dirty, 3 olives. Mmmmmmm.
  3. Pina colada. Because coconut is delicious, and you can’t drink manly drinks ALL the time. Sometimes you gotta get girl drink drunk, damnit.

Martini, preferably with Hendricks.

Sidenote: When I went to an upscale restaurant for my birthday last month, and the waitress asked me what kind of vodka I wanted in it. After we got that cleared up, she asked if I wanted it on the rocks.

Fuck everyone responsible for this trend.

Captain and A&W is awesome too. The problem is, bars don’t serve A&W 99% of the time, so the only time I can drink that is at home.

Also, Kahlua and milk. If no milk, I’ll take cream. If no cream, I’ll take baileys.
