X2 storyline warning! (spoiler free)

Just a word of warning for those of you who are going to play X2.

For the second mission, you’re loaned a passenger transport and told to do a bit of trading before you bring it back. However, when you bring it back, the fuckers who loaned you the transport will take everything in the goddamn freight bay! I just lost all my money because those ungrateful fuckers took the 30,000Cr worth of crystals I was looking to unload for a profit. And since I didn’t notice they’d taken it, I’ve since inadvertantly written over any previous saved game that could have helped. Fuckers!

So make sure you sell off your cargo before finishing the second mission.

 -Tom

did you get that ship from Jabba the Hutt? :D

If you want to get your own back on the ungrateful bastards, before finishing the mission sell those 125w shields the Transporter has for a smooth 350,000 creds - you can sell them right there at the TerraCorp HQ before giving the ship back :p

If my freaking EB would ever get the damn game I might actually be able to play the damn game! They keep pushing it back 3 days at a time.

Damnit, I sense damn frustration.

Sweet tip, Nuclear Winter! That’ll show those bastards to steal my freight…

Elena Kho: Hey, didn’t we have a pair of 25MW shield generators on this passenger transport.

Me [counting my money]: Hmm, I don’t remember seeing anything like that. You must have misplaced them.

 -Tom

Damnit, I sense damn frustration.

FUCK FUCKING EB THOSE FUCKING SLOW-ASS RELEASE-DATE PUSHING BACK FUCKING MOTHERFUCKERS.

What do you sense there?

–scharmers

I JUST NEED TO GET LAID SO DAMN BAD-

Oh wait, my other frustration…

WHY CAN’T EB GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER AND TREAT PC GAMERS LIKE HUMAN BEINGS!!!

Damnit, quit speaking in riddles, man! Tell us how you really feel!

Well, order from gogamer.com. Their 48hour deal email just showed up with the ad “X2, why wait… gogamer has it”

Also, with gogamer, if you live in LA/orange county and choose priority mail and order before 3pm, you almost ALWAYS actually receive the game the very next day, even though p-mail is usually 3 days.

LOL! I missed that one - I think I might restart the game !

I think the programmers and testers missed that one too, heh.

No offense Tom, but wouldn’t it be obvious that they would take whatever was IN the ship that you gave back to them? Did you have enough room on your other ship to store such a massive load? Did I just say “massive load”?

Well in the mission briefing although it was mentioned that the ship was Terracorp property it wasn’t made obvious that you would lose ‘posession’ of the ship after you had finished the mission.

I actually preferred to eject the shields and the weapons for the ship prior to entering the station and then pick them up with my new ship on my way out… because I noticed that while you could sell the shields for some reason you couldn’t buy them back after you’d gone to the cutscene and got back into your new ship. And they were 25W shields that I needed for my shiny new transporter.

I tried this last night. Ejected everything in a nice little group just outside of TerraCorp HQ and docked with the station.

I came out with the transporter and two bastard merchants were stealing all of my cargo !! As soon as I appeared on the scene the sneaky bastards flew off a short distance and waited just like vultures. I managed to recover the two 25W shields and two other upgrades.

HAHAHAHA! That’s pretty funny–and also neat that your stuff was actually being noticed. :)
