I read recently that Phantasy Star Online was hacked like the day it hit the shelves for Xbox. True? Anyone playing PSO on Live?

I ordered my copy over a month ago after reading about it on DIYGames :) (still hasn’t shipped yet though, must be getting close)
Xbox would make a nearly ideal home theater PC, assuming you can chip it and install what you want. It’s dirt cheap (soon to be $149, right?), it has the digital out and tv-out, plus enough CPU power and memory to be dangerous. There’s no way it could handle video encoding in real time though, and you can’t exactly plug a MPEG2 encoder card or faster CPU in there, which kinda rules it out for Tivo functionality.
Yeah, amazingly enough chipping it is a pretty fast little proccess. The biggest pain is finding a decent BIOS. After that you can just set it up like an ftp server and transfer movies and stuff over to it. Installing a bigger hard drive is getting pretty popular too. So size gets to be less of an issue.
