Man, thinking about reinstalling all the games I’m going to be playing on my Series X almost makes me wish there was a way to buy a pre-install option. I have no idea how that would actually work, I’m just finding the prospect of doing it myself a bit daunting.
If you have an Xbox One, just move them to an external USB drive. Then plug that drive into your new XSX/XSS.
It’s just a question of going to your games and apps and pressing a button. For digital games, anyway. I suppose if you mainly have a disc library it’s going to be a bit more laborious.
I’m really thinking more about the time involved in reinstalling all the games, I don’t expect it to be a terribly complicated process.
Play one of the games while you reinstall the others?
That’s what I’ll do. Just move my usb HDD over. Done. The games are “installed” on my new Xbox.
Begin reinstalling them before you go to bed at night?

If I recall correctly, one of the YouTubers that got a preview unit said if both your new Xbox Series and your old Xbox One are on the same network, you can just transfer everything over using your home network.
Now that’s a solution I can get behind! I’m going to look into that.
I did that when I upgraded from an Xbox Elite to a One X. The process worked really well and I believe was much faster than full re-downloads from servers.
Has anyone who got an Amazon pre-order received an estimated delivery date over email yet? Some folks on r/XboxSeriesX report they have, but my order still says “we will email you when we have an estimated delivery date.”
Nor I, for the Series X or the 1TB expansion.
Pssst. Already posted above. Post 2783.

I got mine delivered yesterday. It’s pretty nice.
Does anyone here besides me use the hauppage Xbox One tuner by the way?
I know people are saying OneGuide is most likely going away just because there’s no HDMI In port, but with the Hauppage tuner, you go into the USB port, so you don’t need HDMI In. So I really hope the OneGuide app makes it over to Series X.
The enhancements on both Series X and PS5 can pretty much be summed by: loads faster and runs at 60fps at 4K, but here is the Ubisoft list :

Only one lists Ray Tracing support. Glad to see HDR is getting pushed more. That’s a feature that doesn’t get talked about much, especially in games but when done well is just as important as 4K or other eye candy effects that get more attention.
