Yeah, my XSX has been downloading AC Valhalla and switched itself off after an hour (forgot to adjust the power settings - done now), but I can’t sign back into Live.

I got through console and controller update then just a blank screen and spinning circle instead of logging in…sigh…

Yes, it’s a stark reminder that our access to games today is increasingly dependent on services we have no control over, whether it is Steam or Xbox.

At least I used to be able to just load a cartridge or a game without checking with the mothership! Thank goodness for indies like Starsector.

MS content servers have been getting absolutely mauled all afternoon in the UK. So pleased America is now coming online!

I understand they are getting slammed…but Microsoft is like one of the biggest cloud providers on the planet. Scalability should be part of the program.

Edit: Got logged in and downloading first game so looks like they got the servers back up.

hamsters.

I wonder if there’s some DDOS fuckery? Always happens at Xmas.

Everyone is trying to fill up their 4TB external drives as fast as possible.

The Xbox Support page is reporting core services are back online, but looks like some problems with Destiny 2 and Rogue Company. Anyone still having problems?

As far as I can tell the LG CX 48” is the smallest OLED that’s out there. I was looking for something to replace my current 40” and everything else in roughly that size range was non-OLED.

Yup, that’s the one I’m looking at, though I think I remember hearing a couple other brands were putting out 48" sets this year, finally. I’ve just been waiting for something sub-50", and now that they’re here, for them to come down on price a bit. The 48" is currently more than the 55"! I expect them to be down around $1000 in a year or so. I am wait until then.

Got mine a bit ago, setup went mostly smoothly- connecting with the phone app worked, but then wouldn’t accept my wifi password, and then wouldn’t reconnect the phone. So I had to do it manually. Which took all of two minutes, and then it had to update the console and controller, but download speeds were great, and that was quick. Moved Falconeer over to internal and tried to launch, but it told be it needed a 1.6gb update. That went quick, too. Launching!

It’s here. Now just need to burn the next 2 1/2 hours finishing work.

I had the exact same problem. I couldn’t figure out if I got the WiFi password wrong, or what. It threw me back to the “enter code” in the Xbox app and I ended up plugging it in via Ethernet. I had to go back through a few of the choices again and then it worked fine.

Yea I’ve got an S in a box waiting for me to finish up tonight.

Same. I’m at work, but I confirmed with my wife that she brought the box inside. I almost want to go straight home from work tonight, but I have to stop for some necessary errands. The Falconeer awaits.

Alright, credits are rolling on Dark Souls 3, so I’m ready to enter the next generation. Fedex claims it’s on the truck, supposed to arrive by 8.

I’m really interested in hearing what everyones thinks of the Auto HDR stuff.
Please post about it if something is amazing and/or awful

So what’s the best game to try 120 fps gaming with? Falconeer? I have a 144hz gaming monitor and the Sony X900E which is 60 hz except at 1080p which can go to 120 hz.

Jeez, this thing is DENSE
