£449 in UK. That’s an outstanding price.

Add the news about EA games joining GamePass and MS is currently knocking it out of the park, with 2 next gen SKUs cheaper than what I thought they would reasonably be.
Only a week or so after Legion, which they’re packing in with Amperes. Must be hoping to ride the wave of shiny new hardware. Which in the absence of launch titles they’re probably right about.
Oh, and beating Cyberpunk out too.

From that press release, they mention four launch titles:
Since I can’t stream Tetris Effect from PS4 anymore, I’ll be very tempted to get the Connected version on Series X.
I just find it bemusing that one of their big launch titles is Tetris. “Hey, we have Tetris!”
I was literally playing Tetris in the 80s.
It’s pretty amusing that Ubisoft is once again playing its role of being the main publisher of launch games, and for once not just the main 3rd party publisher, but this time it’s almost entirely by accident.
Nice! That’s going to be a launch title that’s hard to resist. Even though I just know it’s going to be on Game Pass within 6 months if it’s like the other DiRT games.
EA’s subscription service has been separate for Xbox and PC. So technically it would be $60 in the past to get the same as what’s getting added to Ultimate. Anyway it continues to add value to Game Pass. Many have said it already but unless your just some guy who only ever plays Madden and never tries anything else its a no brainer to not be a Game Pass subscriber if you own an Xbox.
Less great for the Xbox Series consoles - Seagate expansion rumored to be $220 for 1TB!
What does a PCI 4.0 X4 1TB NVME SSD cost for the PC? I bet most will be around that price.

Not for long, and the console version won’t get cheaper. A major advantage for PS5.
So that video adds some official specs. The CPU will be 200 mhz lower than the Seies X. I was surprised to hear the GDDR RAM speed. Pretty sure he said 224GB/s. That seems really low even for a system targeting 1440/1080p.
$180 for a Samsung 870 EVO Plus at Amazon, which doesn’t have a case.
I doubt this. The 360 hard drives got cheaper over time. Not at the same rate as PC external drives, but they did get cheaper.
With their clothes off…
I do think going easier on the GPU and moving CPU/IO on a generation is an excellent thing to do. Consoles didn’t need to look a whole lot better, they needed to get smarter.
So, at 500 bucks it means MS is definitely gonna be subsidizing every unit, right? At least for the first couple years. And if I remember correctly, previous gen both Xbone and PS4 were sold at profit even at launch.
