Looks quite interesting. I’ll probably pick it up.

On top of the new weapons, there are also three new suits of armor that can be unlocked in Alien Hunters. Each armor set is created from the corpse of a Ruler alien, and provides unique tactical abilities for the wearer. Each unique armor set also strikes fear into the subordinate alien caste. For example, the Icarus Suit is outfitted with powerful boosters that allow its wearer to fly around the map for maximum mobility.

Sold.

Seems like a bad idea to name your flying suit an Icarus suit. Hindenberg probably isn’t a good name either. Or Earhart.

So for my fellow masochists who stubbornly did this on L/I from start to finish, how long was your playtime in the steam client before you beat it?

Mine was 53 hours. 78341 of which were spend doing the momument mission (or that’s what it felt like anyway).

Also, is the Long War Toolbox actually working now?

I saw ZealinTV from Twitch, the first guy I’m aware of who beat L/I with zero losses and recorded it, play around with the toolbox the other day and half the functions were half working and the rest not really at all. Feedback would be appreciated

Still no fix for ceilings walls not blocking line of sight according to the patch notes. Guess LOS isn’t an issue for most people, I found it really annoying.

Game state classes can now be overridden
The ‘static’ scope keyword now works with override classes, allowing static functions to be overridden
The X2DownloadableContentInfo class has been extended to provide many new hooks for events such as mission start/end
The X2DownloadableContent class can now route ‘exec’ functions (console commands) allowing mods to implement their own cheats

Reviews are coming in on steam and don’t seem good…

So far this has been a TERRIBLE season pass to buy. There is only one more DLC attached to this season pass and given the track record, it seems unlikely it will be good at all, much less redeem the season pass.

That said the trailer looks kind of interesting. So i am going to finish witcher 3 and pretend these are all people who haven’t played the DLC yet making fake reviews.

Part of the problem is that it’s really hard to make any kind of content for this game worth the season pass price that’s not a full-blown expansion. More random levels, more outfits, more weapons and gear, more enemies, etc, are not that compelling. Even if you disregard the fact that free mods supply all this stuff already, these kinds of additions don’t make much of a difference to the normal player. So you see the new enemies a couple times during a playthrough? Big whoop.

The only thing that will redeem the season pass price is some additional campaign content like a trip to the moon, or an undersea storyline. It has to be something with a lot of impact.

Hmm, not seeing a fix for the Steam Controller double click bug when using Big Picture, which means you sometimes order more than one item for production and also can’t see the upcoming events queue in the Avenger view.

I agree in a sense that it is hard to make DLC for xcom that is worth the asking price, but it is possible. They did it with enemy within.

I’d pay $10 for a new soldier class.

Maybe those mutation things from the previous game which you can add to soldiers?

A re-skinned psi guy with different types of abilities but using the same system?

Completely new enemies and not just commander versions of existing ones?

Mecs (pretty much the same thing as new soldier class)?

I understand the people who got the Season Pass being disappointed. OTOH I am happy with this one DLC being $10. It’s worth it to me. YMMV of course.

FYI there are some awesome user made mods for just about everything you listed.
