Their tactical change was to sabotage your power grid.

:(

Has a +10 to aim. Give it to your assault/support folks who have crappy aim%.

Starting to run into a bug where I can’t literally do anything in a turn. I think this happens when a squaddie has to reload, but I don’t quite realize it, try to shoot and the error message is supposed to pop. It never does so I click on the weapon to reload, then I move to the next squaddie and suddenly I can’t do anything. I can’t progress, can’t move, can’t shoot, or anything. Have to quit.

I haven’t had that bug.

I’ve started running into a bug where after using a mind-controlled alien NPC, the UI disappears and you can’t click to issue any orders to anyone else.

But if you give keyboard commands such as “1” to shoot, the UI returns immediately.

I love the light plasma rifle. The aim boost is great for squaddies

Seems like that patch yesterday broke more things than it fixed. I think I’ve run into a weird little issue now myself, but I can’t recall it eactly at the moment. But it was definately something I didn’t notice before the patch.

Oh! I remember - sometimes my guys on OW aren’t taking reaction shots, even when an enemy clearly is running right by them. This happens most often when it’s an enemy running up to a character who has the “you get a free shot at something coming into melee range, even if you aren’t in OW” perk - two of my troops have that, and it only triggers let’s say “most” of the time. Maybe it’s supposed to have a proc rate rather than being all the time though.

I definitely agree with his “only one sky ranger” criticism. The only way this could possibly make any sense is if the ship was a captured alien spacecraft you only had one of. It is like saying that the US Military has only ONE transport for getting around the world. Having more than one or simply having three would open up a lot more interesting choices. Now you have the ability to handle all these abductions, but in order to do so, you need the soldiers and the ability to equip them. You would have more choices and more choice is always a good thing. Maybe they can change this in a patch or DLC.

My first terror mission was a cake walk. I saved all but one civilian. I didn’t rush (made sure I had plenty of people on overwatch mode) so when those really tough guys popped out they got shot down pretty quick. Once I killed all the aliens, everyone else was saved. I didn’t need to hunt down all the people to save them.

There were some odd things on the map, mainly people on the roof of some buildings and I didn’t see any way to get to them.

Easy or normal? :)

Yeah perhaps I should have stated - the terror missions have been brutal on classic.

What? I’ve doubled check it, and it has the same stats as the laser rifle. Is there something I’m missing?

The plus 10 aim boost.

Sadly, it doesn’t seem to be that rare. I expect you’ll hear about it as more people reach the end of the game.

(minor spoilers in bug reports)
Sad bug at the end of the game
Weird bug in final mission
Unable to advance on the last mission

The scripting in the final mission is very fragile. If it breaks, and you’re playing iron man, you are screwed. Don’t play iron man.

I’ll never survive to the final mission in ironman classic anyway. I don’t have the discipline to do a self imposed ironman, gotta check that box.

My first one was an all rookie squad, and I didn’t know what I was doing. The team was completely wiped out before I could even think to run back to the drop ship (not even sure if that’s possible, really).

But, the second time I got one (after a reload, since I’m not in Ironman right now) and my A squad was fully healthy and I had no problem with it. I think I got a little lucky with the enemy spawns and didn’t get overrun with the Chryssalids.

(EDIT: Also, this was in normal mode, for anyone asking)

Oh, yeah

I did that mission, too, but a bit later with laser weapons. I pushed too fast and triggered Chrysalids, Zombies, and Cyberdisks everywhere. What a disaster that one was.

Anyone know where the savegame information is kept? Not the actual save games, but the information the menus use? I made the ‘mistake’ of moving some game files out of the directory they were in so I could start another clean game, and now I can’t remove the entries from the menu because they’re ‘corrupt’.

Tip

If you have any enemies still alive, suicide your psionic soldier. You’ll then get an opportunity to restart the mission (this condition is a hard fail state). That’s at least better than starting a new game from scratch. Edit: If you have any explosives left, too, you might be able to kill your psionic soldier yourself.

Savillo, is that true even on iron man? I assumed it would just be game over.

Yep. Enemy Unknown is not that much a roguelike, heh.

I finished the game on Normal, being extremely lucky at the end.

Time to crank it up a bit. Still awesome.
