Yep. You could field as many teams as you had transport, though as a practical matter, it was generally difficult to support more than one active team. Where XCom: Enemy Unknown has a single base and satellite coverage of various nations, XCom: Ufo Defense had bases in multiple countries instead of satellites, each with its own radar coverage, and possibly hangars and all the various rooms (labs, housing, storage, etc.).

I’m on the verge of investing in this, what’s the verdict, yay or nay?
I’m not finding any reviews out either, always sad to see stuff released without a review :( Particularly when you have no impulse control, and I’m not talking Space Engines Brian.
Isnt this out in november? Thats why there are no reviews.

Ah bugger me, I didn’t see the fine print, It looked like it was out, being on a sale and all… Okay, I will not buy or pre-invest in this until I get a review, sorry for the fuzz. BTW The Mandate, now doing its kickstarter promises to mix Xcom and FTL…
Invest today, get free hope.

Its just a top-down shooter, so whats there to tell?
My problem with this DLC is that it doesn’t extend the game with new content at all.
You’re replaying the game again with a new class, some new upgrades/weapons and some new enemies. If that is what you’re looking for, well… $30 is probably still too much to ask for what it offers unless you’re a HUGE fan.

What how dare you, I saw the 3d my self, it was there, this will be pistols at dawn.
Don’t like your own trolling methods being used on you, sir? How unbecoming of a gentleman such as your own good self.

With the new DLC, you will not see the see a dueling place twice during one playthough.

I’m good with that, however I only expect one duel. Brian, please leave common sense outside this thread, its impolite.
GMG has this for 10% off the base price (same as steam) and then you can apply a 25% code on top of that, bringing it down to 20.25 which is almost at a reasonable price level. Sadly, it is not quite there for me. It is still too much for what i perceive it to contain (based on developer interviews and previews), so i will be passing. Maybe by the time it hits $8-10 i will have a desire to replay the game again.
I wonder if this is the new strategy for video games. Release you game way too expensive and then have lots of sales to bring it closer to earth. You see this with some other products pretty often, but i don’t think i’ve ever seen it with a video game, until now.

Uh, that seems to be the standard model these days. A lot of PC games start off $60, and drop steeply after that.
Yeah but they actually expect people to buy it at $60 and they do, and i do.
However an at best medium sized DLC for $30 is absolute insanity. It would be like if a game came out at $80 for no special reason and then went on sale for $10 off.

Uhm, have you tried that? I don’t believe the 25% code works with the XCom expansion. At least it didn’t for me.
Yup still works. USA region here.
This is a xcom enemy within specific 25% off code. Did anyone else get this or did they send me this because i preordered the original game?

I can confirm that the generic 25% off code sent out on monday does not work with xcom enemy within.

I pre-ordered the original from GMG and I didn’t get this. Looks like it might be because you bought The Bureau as well.

I’m sure they are expecting fans to pick it (I plan to). You don’t like the base game, so I can see how paying more for an expansion seems like “insanity.” But to me, it sounds like a reasonable price for more good stuff.

You’re probably right, 'cause I also preordered Xcom from GMG and didn’t get a bonus 25% off coupon for the expansion.
I can confirm this is not true, as I pre-ordered X:EU from them and do not own The Bureau, yet received the code.
