To be honest, I never noticed either issue - rounding or teleportation - when I played, so I’m not surprised the reviews didn’t pick up on them.

So, is this working now? Last night I downloaded a 4 gig update, then a 50 meg update, and it still wouldn’t give me the choose module splash screen.

There have been a lot of problems with this launch apparently, especially with people who bought keys from non-Steam vendors. Some gory details here. Within the last hour or so people have been reporting success with “verify local files” however, so you might try that.

I received the 4 gig update last night. I did not pre-order, so when I purchased the expansion this morning, it gave me another 7.5 gig update.
Game works fine. No issues, and I’m not seeing the bugs Jpinard mentioned above. I should note that I never used mods for this game, and it was originally bought on Steam, so I guess I’m in the fortunate group.
All that said, I have to say that after a couple of hours, this seems more like a Mod than an expansion. The fact that you start over from the beginning and then experience slightly different game play mechanics, new unit types and new maps/foes/etc speaks directly to this point.

So, exactly like the past 7-8 Civilization expansions. Sounds good to me!
Does it give you the option to play just the original game, or are the changes integrated if you buy the expansion?
There is a splash screen now that lets you choose whether you want to start the vanilla game, or Enemy Within.
As someone who never came close to finishing vanilla, is there any reason for me not to choose Enemy Within? Will I be missing anything from vanilla?

Not really, just less stuff.
I started a game last night with most of the initial 2nd wave options turned on, though I skipped the “random skills” one - I’m wondering if I should replay that first battle by starting over with it checked though. Anyone with experience using that option? How does it work, exactly?

Toolboks is a general purpose mod tool that lets you, for example, increase the speed of all combat animations so you can rapidly play out battles.

Ok, this finally worked for me. Played a bit of the first mission at work…
I noticed that the only character who had a different voice was a Russian woman on my team. I had a German and two Norwegians as well, but they both just sounded American. Is that a bug, or are there only voice sets for certain nationalities? Or is it random whether they speak their language or not?
I did notice when going through the options it looked like the options for the new national voices is not checked by default?

Yeah, the voices aren’t on by default, and you can customize each soldier’s language in their customization page.

Looks like the second wave options I unlocked were still available in Enemy Within, although I don’t remember angled shots being on there, is that a new one? Regardless, having increased accuracy the closer you are to an enemy is a welcomed change.
Now I remember that I still have to finish a game on impossible difficulty to unlock the remaining second wave stuff, but I’m going to do a classic ironman with the new content first.

It’s not closer to enemy, it’s closer the angle of the shot is to flanking.
Looking forward to confirmation that the infamous teleport bug has been fixed for realsies this time.

They’re in there and I’ve NEVER cleared the campaign, although I assume these are only the basic pre-clear options as the last game plus Sid’s new flanking option I can’t wait to play. Maybe they’re just in a different spot than the original? Go into advanced options and then down at the bottom left.
I NEED, even on my first attempt, to choose options that further RANDOMIZE (random damage, random promotions, and randomized stats) the game and don’t think I’ll include those two set piece mission packs in my initial runs.
So, since I hear running the tutorials can freeze up the game, what do I do to claim meld again? Just run up to it or do I need to shoot it?
Sorry to be a clueless newbie but what is this infamous teleport bug? Guys just appearing out of nowhere or what?

One of the video reviews, either Gamespot or IGN, said that the teleport bug appears to finally have been squashed.

I just did a full re-install to see if that helps with the bugs I’m having. Most were in the tutorials.
