Yakuza 7 - We're turn-based RPG brawling now!

It’s possible that there’s some context that makes “Delivery Help” hilarious in Japanese, but if so I lack it.

Babies, man.

Babies.

This game is so insane and I love it.

Big babies!

I’m 80 hours in and still getting joyful surprises.

The developers, and the English translation team in retaining that spirit, really do know how to straddle the fine line between serious drama and more light-hearted moments.

Only have Yakuza 6 left to play in the mainline games. Like a Dragon definitely what the series needed…

Yay! All Yakuza games will be turn-based going forward. Woohoo!

(And the Judgement spin-off series will be the action-brawler stuff I can’t stand, so that will be the one to avoid now, for me).

Dotcombatant. Hahahahaha, I love the puns in this game.

Also karaoke. I miss karaoke so much, even doing it in this game was just amazing.

Baka Mitai is the best.

The enemy names are fantastic. Hitjourneyman, Pornagra-Pharoah and Thuggler are a couple of my favorites.

Hahahaha that’s great.

Omg I’ve not run into that one yet hahahaha

but is it Snow Halation? ^_^

(Sorry that’s a meme that is all too played with my Calibur buddies)

It’s sounding like the translation into English was almost as important to get right as the initial Japanese game.

As much as I love Baka Mitai, no karaoke song in the Yakuza series can beat Yakuza 0’s “x3 Shine”, with Yuki ft. Majima.

I think this is my favorite–though largely because of the visuals.

That is a classic, yes. Those three - Baka Mitai, x3 Shine, and 24-hour Cinderella - are by far my favorites.

Don’t forget Haruka’s So Much More. Winning the princess league means that song is permanently stuck in my head now, along with the dance battle rap song that for no apparent reason refers to Tits McGee.

So many great ones, also love Saejima’s Rouge of Love.

Haha, I do have a guilty pleasure for a bit of karaoke in Yakuza. Most of the karaoke songs in the Yakuza games are rather enjoyable. It was dearly missed by many people in Judgement.
