You can never go home again - Video Game Edition

I used to love all those deep, involving RPGs. One of my all time favorites (Magic Candle, listed as #7 on my top 100 list here) is something I doubt I could go back to. For one, it had a hard time limit. On easy, this wasn’t exactly punishing at 1000 days. But I don’t really like time limits these days. And the fact that you could split up your party, set one tailoring clothes to earn some money, have your wizards holed up in an inn memorizing spells while your elf was out hunting food to carry you through your travels - well that’s awesome as an idea but can be a bit overwhelming in practice. Or maybe I’m just a pansy these days. Anyway, I still love the game but I’m more in love with my memories, I think.
