You said you only voted for trump for the judges. You got them, so why are you still voting for trump?

Anyone else heard this from Evangelical Christian colleagues or family? I’ve gotten this a lot over the past few years. They said he was a bad character but they forgave and voted for him because they wanted the judges. Well they got them, and they’re still voting Trump despite the fact he’s a million times more heinous now than 4 years ago and it’s all in the open.

The only reason I can think of they’d still be voting for him is deep down they are some of the most racist people on Earth. I mean, why else would you vote for him at this point? He’s killing us, he’s killing our soldiers, he’s raping this country of everything for personal gain. He’s basically the anti-Christ.

Theories? I sure would like to have something to cut/paste to counter the crap one of my cousins keeps poking me in Facebook. She’s one of these people who said she only voted for him for the judges, but now she’s still voting for him. Claims she herself is so wonderful, but she’s not and I see it in all her FB posts.

I think it’s morally wrong, but politically right - Trump could get at least 1 more supreme court judge in a second term.

Judges retire, judges resign, judges die. If they’re on the federal bench, the executive branch gets to appoint their successors.

Evangelicals are one of the following: hateful, stupid, or fearful. The hateful ones want to hurt people who aren’t like them. The stupid ones believe all the bullshit lies. The fearful ones think everyone is out to get them.

There’s a few at the top that are wise to the con and those are the grifters. They exploit the idiots to make money, and don’t care who gets hurt. They are natural fits for the Republican Party.

The funny thing is they could have voted in a non completely incompetent, non completely criminal and corrupt, non imbecile, run of the mill republican candidate and still gotten their fucking judges.

These people are not salvageable. Why ask their motivations? They will never, ever, ever vote for a Democrat.

Closet?

Trump was endorsed by White Supremacists in 2016, and today he endorses them and is unabashedly the White Supremacist candidate. There is no closet racism about voting for him. It’s just straight up racist, because everything is out in the open at this point.
