Read the full articleAre any of the things you dislike about it the fact that it's not called Defense of the Ancients 2? It's actually just "Dota 2". The 'o', 't', and 'a' are annoyingly not capitalized because it isn't an acronym. Which is even better because there was never a "Dota" for it to be a sequel to.
Haha, I never thought about it, Mike, but that's a good point. It isn't DotA 2 as it should be. I will mention that
McMaster actually had it written properly, but I changed it. And in fact, like not calling Fear 3, F.E.A.R. 3, or F.3.A.R., or Stalker S.T.A.L.K.E.R., or Bioware BioWare, I'm not sure I'm comfortable letting the game company decide how it's supposed to be written. Valve maintains the DOTA isn't an acronym? Madness. But I'll defer to McMaster's choice in the future.
I don't know if they've actually said that, but in my steam list its Dota 2 and not Defense of the Ancients 2 or DotA 2.
