Your favorite line of dialogue from a Star Wars movie

“What an incredible smell you’ve discovered.”

I reference that way more than I should.

WHOOOOOOOOOAAAAHHH!

How typical…

“It’s over, Anakin! I have the high ground!”

“Forget it, Obi-Wan. It’s Chinatown.”

Never tell me the odds!

Shut him up or shut him down!

Actually, it’s remarkable how much R2 conveys without saying anything coherent. “You mindless philosopher” is very rude sounding even without the translation.

“Obi Wan Kenobi? I wonder if he means Old Ben Kenobi.”

I like standing up and giving Luke a slow round of applause for that.

This bickering is pointless.

“I don’t have it with me.”

It would appear Tom has beaten to this one.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: [anguished] You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness! [picks up Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber]

My friend doesn’t like you.
I don’t like you either.

My friend doesn’t like you.
I don’t like you either.

Been saying that shit to randoms at bars for over 20 years.

That sounds like a healthy way to meet new people!

Can we do least favorite line of dialogue? Because then mine would be…

“Without the midi-chlorians, life could not exist, and we would have no knowledge of the Force.”

Lalalalalala I can’t HEAR you. Those midi-things don’t exist.

Well my favorite is already taken (“It might!”), but how about…

Sorry sweetheart; I haven’t got time for anything else.

Anybody else saying this line would just make it sound creepy as hell, but Ford is absolutely pitch perfect again. I also love this exchange:

Han Solo: Now it’s not going to take them long to figure out what happened to us.

Princess Leia: It could be worse.

[Garbage creature growls]

Han Solo: It’s worse.

It’s the perfect pause that makes it.

“From my point of view, it is the Jedi who are evil!”

ha ha ha it’s like he accidentally pasted his story notes into the shooting script

Actually, it’s remarkable how much R2 conveys without saying anything coherent.

That’s the genius of Ben Burtt at work.

you must do what you feel is right of course.
