100 Best TV Shows of ALL TIME!

Come on, the Super Bowl is not a TV show.

Ok, but this isn’t a super serious AFI list with voting and stuff, either.

OMG, yes. However, they did get WKRP on there–which is amazing (and deserved!).

Dude, if you made a list of your top 100 video games, and one of them was a Clue VCR party game, I think you’d get called on it.

The biggest oversight I see here is “The Outer Limits”. That show rocked.

Where’s I Dream of Jeannie?

They included a lot of the “these lists must always have” shows for me, so I’d say it’s a decent list. The Prisoner is the big test for me to see if whoever is compiling the list has any clue what they’re doing.

MTV up until 1992. :) Good one!

I agree. :) That made me laugh.

Agreed on The Prisoner too. I still get creeped out by those big white balls. (That last sentence available for taking out of context and LOLing at free of charge.)

Here’s my big fanfic idea for the great Prisoner/Trek crossover episode: Rover evolves into Sargon, builds time machine.

That’s all I’ve got.

Holy Fuck. How can the Wonder Years have been omitted?

No 30 Rock? Blasphemy.

The Beavis and Butt-Head Show

Huh huh. Cool.

Discuss.

First reaction:

  • This is a great list.
  • The Leftovers is THAT good?
  • I really need to watch Mad Men
  • I really need to watch The Americans
  • I really need to watch Fleabag
  • I watched enough Bojack Horseman to know I want to watch no more. I’ll take their word for it.
  • I really need to watch Deadwood
  • I really need to watch Watchmen
  • I really need to watch Gilmore Girls
  • I really need to watch Treme
  • I really need to watch Luther
  • I really need to watch Fargo and Hannibal
  • I really need to watch The Queen’s Gambit
  • What are “I May Destroy You”, “The Bridge”, “Borgen”, “Peep Show”, “Inside No 9”, “Small Axe”, “Pose”, “Detectorists”, “Enlightened”, “Insecure”, “The Comeback”, and “Call my Agent”?
  • Only glaring omission I can think of right now is “where the heck is The Great”?

This is Toby Jones not Noby Jones, that is all you need to know.

This is a very good British comedy that launched Mitchell & Webb’s TV career.

I’m not clear how Twin Peaks: The Return is on there but not Twin Peaks.

It’s the timeline restriction, I believe. These are best shows of the 2000s+, and the original was a 80s or 90s show.
