I played that game but only for like an hour. The main mechanic and I do not get along. I was super bad at it.

I guessed it because of the last clue (and the big pointed finger at the last clue that @WhollySchmidt provided), then confirmed my guess. I’ve never played it, but I’ve heard the name enough. If you want to be put out of your misery, one of us that has guessed\Googled it can answer, surely. But if you’d like a chance to go again, you shall have it! Just say the word.
Okay, well to anyone who hadn’t Googled yet (and to be clear I don’t mind that some of you did), that frame was from Invisigun Reloaded. It’s from one of the “Hero’s Journey” levels, which were added in the “reloaded” update this year, so if you played it when it was released you wouldn’t have seen that specific map, and maybe not that little robot delivering the transmission–I’m not sure if it shows up in other modes.
I regret using that particular screen because the darkened background behind the transmission looks almost impossible to see on my PC, while it was more vibrant overall on the screen of my Switch, so that probably didn’t help. But it might not have been guessed regardless.
I don’t have another good capture ready, so if anyone has something ready to go, I don’t want to hold up the game. I can probably have another frame tomorrow night, but I don’t mind at all if someone else wants to jump in.
And FWIW, I like the idea of Invisigun Reloaded, but I’m just plinking away at the single player maps because I’m too intimidated to jump into multiplayer online. I should probably get over that and just dive in, but oh well.

You know what, I think I know this game. I was just watching footage of it and one thing that struck me was the idea of chains wrapping around the screen until you defeated all the enemies. I put on my wishlist, it looked like a blast.
River City Girls?
It’s funny, it’s what I was thinking about looking at the style of the pink bag, but is that even out yet?
It is, that’s why I was looking at it just last weekend. I saw a gif of it somewhere and thought “holy shit, that looks great” and so I watched some reviews, and wishlisted it. Seems like a cool Switch game to play, but it’s also on Steam.
Uh, I think that Nintendo event kind of killed the thunder of a lost of releases of that weekend, some publishers must regret scheduling those!

I’ll update with the full frame after work tonight some time. I’ve only put about an hour into it, but so far it’s great. I was tempted by a friend on twitter who’s been playing it, so when I needed a new frame game pick I figured that was as good an excuse as any to pull the trigger.
So far it’s colorful and genuinely funny and the fighting is really solid. Based on early impressions I’m glad I picked it up.
