It does not do Optical but you can do what Xaroc said to get multiple inputs for optical.

I have had my systems hooked up the Xaroc way and using the box and they both work perfect. I thing I liked about doing it the way Xaroc suggested is that I didnt need to hit a switch on a box to get to the right system.

I thought I saw one of these at best buy for around $90. 7 inputs (4 with optical). All have svideo ,component, composite, ethernet I believe.

Comes with a remote too.

Sold mine last week, along with most of the incompatible games. There was stuff I’d liked to have played more, but hey, my “to play” pile is absurd even without the old Xbox in the equation.
