Heh. Well, I said the Dvar when I first saw them, so I’ll stick with that. But I like the way some of these factions sound that we haven’t seen yet, so I honestly suspect the reason answer is, for my first game, I’ll hit “random” and go from there. :)
Yeah, if random is a choice I’m betting I hit that too. But then again I might just give my above choice a spin and see if I can turn myself into a robot overlord.
Man I wish this thing was out already, I really need to forget about it till it’s a bit closer to release.
Random will randomise your secret tech as well, and also the aesthetics of your leader.

Today’s Dev Diary is all about the Cthulu-like Psi-fish. Man, that name. I was hoping it was just like what the Vangaurd called these things, but no, it looks like their actual name is “Psi-fish” for some reason. Ha ha. Well, okay then, on with the reading!
Psi-fish is the best faction name yet. If I can’t have fun names like “Space Dwarves,” “Solar Elves,” “Moon People,” and “Gravity Goblins” then I’ll take Psi-fish.
For the last 4 Thursdays I have consistently forgotten about the dev diaries…

Someone in the comments on the diary thread pointed out to me that without a language, we can’t know what the psi-fish call themselves, and that’s why in-game they are called “psi-fish”, which mollified me quite a lot.

If the units weren’t so hard to see they’d be my favorite faction yet.
My human leader with a 70’s porn 'stache calls them ‘Friggin Prawns’ while gunning them down.
