All-purpose gun legislation thread

I love that idea - keep them at the heart of this and build out from their energy & enthusiasm.

Choose your narrative.

Well we have two potential outcomes - tough call for the GOP obviously:

A Five people injured, one dead - with guns available
vs
B Zero people injured - without guns available

BREAKING: Publix suspends political donations as Parkland’s @davidhogg111 leads die-in protest:

These kids kick names and take ass…

Ahh, the culture wars. Of course the reason there are school shootings is the availability of porn…magazines. Which kids totally buy.

Rep. Diane Black (R-TN), a candidate for governor of Tennessee, says that pornography is a “big part” of the impetus for school shootings, along with violent movies, “idle hands” and the “deterioration of the family.”

“It’s available on the shelf when you walk in the grocery store. Yeah, you have to reach up to get it, but there’s pornography there,” she said. “All of this is available without parental guidance. I think that is a big part of the root cause.”

You know what, I’m going to support her crusade, but only if they legally ban anyone that’s ever looked at porn from owning a gun. I’m pretty sure that will prevent a hell of a lot of shootings.

Has anyone compiled a list of reasons for school shootings unrelated to those shooty-ma-bobs?

Best of luck with her campaign in the 1976 gubernatorial election!

I’m on board. Though I do regret I’ll never be able to own a AR-15 simply because I found that stash of magazines in the woods behind Jimmy Flanagan’s house in 1978. Certainly I’ve never looked at a naked woman that wasn’t my wife ever since then.

THIS IS DISGUSTING. Valve Corporation of Bellevue is launching a video game on June 6th that’s a school shooting simulator. Everyone that cares about school & public safety should be OUTRAGED. Sign this petition to DEMAND the game isn’t launched:

Is the above accurate? If so, it’s not going to help the argument that the shootings have nothing to do with video games.

Have they given a name to this school-shooting simulator?

Yes, I believe it is Active Shooter.

These guys have every right to make such a stupid game, but Valve should refuse to carry it IMO.

Yeah, Valve is showing incredibly bad judgement in having it on their platform. I guess they figure, what are people going to do? Boycott Steam?

Active Shooter is essentially a dynamic SWAT simulator in which dynamic roles are offered to players.

Pick your role, gear up and fight or destroy! Be the good guy or the bad guy. The choice is yours! Only in “Active Shooter”, you will be able to pick the role of an Elite S.W.A.T team member or the actual shooter. Your objective would be either to neutralize the target (active shooter) or be the target himself. Depending on the role, your objective might be to protect and extract or hunt and destroy.

Roadmap (1st week of release):
Co-Op Missions (up to 4 players)
Fully integrated Multi-Player (be the bad or be the good!)
Ability to play as an civilian in a survival mode.

There are a lot of companies that probably thought the same. The Parkland kids thought otherwise.

I bet they end up pulling the game…

…aaaand it’s gone.

I win that bet.

Good for them.
