Anyone grabbing this or have thoughts on the games? I think I’m probably past my allotment of new games for this month and will pass on it, unless anything here is really worth making time for.
Dead in Vinland was pretty cool, but super hard a game. Like a predetermined memory puzzle of sorts.

I 100%'d this one (~40h), it’s fun. Casual space city builder-sim with scenarios.
Next week’s “free game” is a content pack for some rando F2P piece of shit. Methinks Sweeney may be backing off on buying users.

They’ve done that before, I think, although maybe not as the only thing given away in a given week.
Yeah, I was thinking we had seen this sort of thing before, a content pack on some MMO or other FTP game, but I don’t remember the details. Maybe that D&D game you that basically sit back and watch it play itself?
This will probably be gone soon, because it looks like a mistake, but this site has Battlefield 2042 Ultimate Edition for PC Origin at over 50% off! US only it seems.
People report getting site errors, but they just keep trying to eventually get through and they’re showing the sale works and their Origin app now shows they own the game.

Correct. You really only want Ultimate if you want the extras that are included and you know you’re buying all the battle passes in the first year. That’s already in there.
The battle pass stuff is all cosmetics?
Sort of. There are no game altering items in the Battle Passes, but I think new Specialists will be in there. They haven’t talked about it that much yet. I don’t expect it to have anything other than maybe early access to a weapon without needing to grind an unlock or things of that nature.
From the wording of the Year 1 pass, it seems that way.
