Battlestar Galactica 26: Winning the Marathon

Play 1 Card. @CraigM

This is going to suck.

It’s fine.

You have no idea.

Ok, no sugar coating it, this went about as poorly as possible.

Piloting 3MF

Treachery 1BL,3ABM

Total, -1, Reckless fail, ABM loads the destiny as two treacheries again, and BL places a Basestar in front of Galactica and another civvie behind.

Damage 3 Vipers

The new basestar fires.

Roll is a 2, so not everything is terrible.

Jump prep +1

@Knightsaber your draw.

The reckless flip is Treachery 5EaW, so no further action

That seems fine to me. The single basestar will give us a bit of respite in space before the main fleet returns to attack again.

Some of those unsigned Quorum Orders I left in my desk may help with that as well.

Piloting and Treachery please.

Ok you have a new board, and things to do.

Going to head to the Basestar and pick:

Roll on the jump/pursuit track.
Place 3 Raiders in Cylon fleet space 4.

Roll is a 4, pursuit +1

CAG @Lantz place a civvie

3 please

Your hand is updated.

No new board currently because not much has changed.

Things look not too bad right now. We need to:

  • Clear up the civvies before the cylons get back here
  • Fix Galactica damage, it’s stopping us launching escorts
  • Kill the centurions
  • Find a 3-distance destination to jump to

I am leaning towards fixing command first as it’s more versatile. Thoughts?

@rho21 @Navaronegun

sorry for the delay, this just seems like a “big decision” moment!!

want to make sure we agree

We can work around a lack of command using the CAG power (shame you can’t use that before you move back to the ship and repair) and comms to move the civvies in a pinch. We can’t get a real pilot into space without the hangar.

But I don’t mind either choice.

@CraigM I will move to the hangar and fix it.

@Navaronegun I think you should take the AR when you get into space. You’re a little more likely than me to stay.

You hit the hangar deck with a hammer a few times, until this pops up.

@Lantz your choice.

Hmm, nice positive, and the fail condition is only a bit worse than the or option. Can we pass it though, given that destiny is all negative? And should we use cards on it? I can offer some help if we do go for the check.

If we fail we get the launch and they move to 4 on the activation. Rowe can pop the 1 civilian before we can do anything about it.

But having the raiders on the board stalls the pursuit track and we can get the ex-president out there.

Real +/- there.
