I saw that too a while back. Moddable even, which adds to how nice it was that someone did that. I have yet to play it though. I mean, I’m replaying Skyrim right now with a pretty huge modpack. There’s only so much Bethesdatime.
Daggerfall is super-rough. Early 3D, but also a lot of repetition and generated content. I’d probably skip it. The modern Elder Scrolls formula really gelled with Morrowind.

For whatever reason the nostalgia bug never hit me. I don’t have any particular impulse to replay beloved games from my childhood like Bard’s Tale III, Dragon Wars, or Ultima 4-- and those are 2D games so they hold up OK graphically. Early 3D games are rough, although that Unity remake may fix that stuff.
On the other hand if they release new games as spiritual successors to those childhood favorites I’m all for it. Might and Magic X, Wasteland 2 and 3, Star Wars Squadrons, etc. Love 'em.
