Do you mind measuring the width of the chair maybe 1-2 inches from the front? I have a 19" wide opening in this dumb old desk that I ought to replace. As long as I can fit the seat of the chair in a couple inches, I think the depth will be good enough to reach the keyboard comfortably.
You’d be good for the first 3 inches or so, which only widens to about 16". After that it widens further to 20", and then narrows to 18.5" towards the back.
I have one. It is sturdy for my fat self. I wish the whole thing reclined a little though. Only the back reclines. The material is not soft if that matters to you. It is rough. The foam armrest is starting to deteriorate from bumping into my desk repeatedly.
