I have an external 500GB 2,5" LaCie drive that stores the backup of all my photos. I have used it very little, just putting the photos on the drive, some folder management and scanning them with Picasa. I guess it’s been used about 10 hours. Now I’m suddenly getting CRC errors all over the place and many of my directories are unavailable. Does anyone have any tips for resolving this? I’ve tried it on 2 different computers and the results are the same.
SpinRite might be able to recover the data. Otherwise it’s toast.
